Re: bad mama jamma hood (aka the cats ass)

that'll bee the first cowl noma hood i've ever seen. props on doing it

as for getting both sides to match perfect: after you do one side, you could cut a cardboard template to fit perfect and then just move it to the opposite side to make sure it's the same when you tack it in place. you could make several of the cardboard templates as you make your way down. anyways, get that thing done!

Re: bad mama jamma hood (aka the cats ass)

Yikes, props for trying it bro and it essentially COULD look good, but it appears to be moving in the wrong direction already.

Good luck anyways, I want to see it finished.

please tell me you're kidding,... you REALLY shouldnt go over 1/8 inch thick with bondo,... hell I wouldnt go much thicker than that even if its fiber reinforced. I think you should use actual fiberglass.

Its really not that different, there are thousands of s10's with custom hoods. By the way it looks in photos, the metal work looks like its off and I don't see fiberglass or mudd fixing it. Thats why I want to see if finished, so you can prove me and your photos wrong. No need to get your panties in a twist over it.

noticed on the edge of the new metal, the edge closest to the cowl, that its not rolled? the almost vertical edge is the onne im talking about. subtle things like that can throw the look off. do u want it to look like somethinng u made? or something clean an aftermarket? whenn u get down to the details, u should check for little things like that. good job so far, keep up the DIY shit
