avs window visors/question

I want to buy a set of new window visors, because the first set I got were from alamo auto supply, and they were CRAP.

Anyways I see that AVS makes in-channel visors, and the ones that stick on the window seal. I found them on ebay, and asked the seller a question. He suggests the stick on window seal ones. I don't know which ones to pick up?

Re: avs window visors/question

i bought a pair of the avs in channel vent visors for my blazer about 1.5 - 2 years ago to replace the gm ons that stick on the outside. i like the in channel ones better and have never had an issue with them (used them on several vehicles now)
but im looking on ebay to buy another set very soon for my s10.

i just dont like the ones that stick on the outer part of the window because if they ever have to come off, they leave all the adhesive on the black rubber around the window. the previous owner of my blazer put on the ones that stick on the outer part of the window and they didnt even install them right. half of it was on the black rubber, the other half was above the rubber on the actual door. so they never looked right

best part of the in channel ones are that you can take them in and out if needed

Re: avs window visors/question

(just because i sell this crap everyday).... I would say if you want inside channel go with weathertech #80018 (no adhesive). Reason being, with your windows rolled up, there is very little room for a chunk of plastic and some 3m double sided tape AND the window, to fit in the seal. Although it will fit, it will also distort the window seal and stretch it out over time.

I just installed the avs visors and my cal-vu mirrors. They look great, worth the money imo.
