A little rust repair...

Well, I decided to do a little rust repair on my 95 Sanoma longbed. The truck is a POS I picked up last year for $250, it was a "mechanic courier" for Bumper to Bumper auto parts its whole life. Its a 2.2 auto with 232k miles on her. It runs great except for the extremely loud timing chain. The truck is too far gone to ever make it a show winner. The only rust I really cared about was the drivers floor as you can clearly see...

And after a junkyard floor pan and several hours of cutting and grinding...

It still needs to be welded in. I may have to replace the rocker too cause the flat sheet metal on the inside of it is toast too. Im probably just gonna weld in a flat sheet instead. You can see the other hole where the seat used to mount. The original bench seat was shot after 230k miles of use so I swapped in my mint first gen bench so Im gonna make a little patch to go over that hole too since the new bench mounts in a different spot. I kept the cab mount that came on the new floor pan.

Future plans for the truck is some drop spindles, 3" blocks and some 18's. Im gonna cover all the interior is some unkown fabric, and basically drive it til it blows up. I have a spare 4.3 layin around but this truck doesnt deserve it. lol

Yeah, theres a few little holes that need to be taken care of too, but I wanted to get this part done first. I got it all welded in last night. It fit great but thats a hell of a lot of welding to do when you cant lay down a bead.

I'll post some pics tonight, now all I need is some carpet to cover up all my work.
