ummm that might look kinda funky... but I am pretty sure the bed holes are in the same spots.

they are but, i believe that either the cab ona first gen isa bit wider, or the bed on a 2nd gen isa bit skinnyier there was this kid who drove around town here with the 2 mismatched look absolutley hideous none of the body lines matched up and it made me wanna barf

Re: 2nd Gen. Stepside Bed on 1st Gen Cab??

the cab on a first gen is skinnier than a bed off a second gen, there's a 1st gen with a 2nd gen bed here, and it looks like shit sticks out 2 inches on each side because of the plastic peices on the ground of the bed.

my own opinion, i think it would be different, but prolly wouldnt look too great. 1st gen is to square to the 2nd gen bed.

you would have to thin the bed like 3 or so inches but the body lines at the rocker area are all different it wouldnt look right

go for it, even if you have to narrow the bed. I hate seeing people dump tons of time and money into their trucks just to have them look all the same.

Those Choo Choo ones wouldn't have been to bad if they had made the front of the box the same width as the cab. They did look like a nice product , just needed a little fine tuning.

Re: 2nd Gen. Stepside Bed on 1st Gen Cab??

I have a fleetside second gen bed sitting on my first gen, my initial plans were to narrow the bed, it hangs about 1 1/2in off each side, and the bottom body line is about 1/4in higher on the 2nd gen that the 1st gen. So the bed would have to be narrowed 3in and lowered 1/4. Then i thought nah, and am trying to sell the bed...

I think that looks horrible. It doesn't line up with the cab at all. Looks like crap. Not to mention the horrible vette lights.

So it looks like they're targeting the teachers at schools that begin with "W."

stepside beds are ugly on a second gen...why would you want to put it on your 1st gen...lol

there have been other pics posted on here before where people did the mod...a silver one if i remember...it look ok...but you need to shave the body line off your cab for it to look good...
