Re: wiring pin out Question?

I cant see your document because I am at work but I think I have the same one. The Electronic Control Unit Output - 12 Volt - Inadvertant Load Control is the one on the harness for the lights and homelink right? If you have a lighted mirror, you can put that one to the orange one on the mirror.

I believe the RAP is retain accessory power, like how the radio stays on after you turn off the truck until you open a door. Do you need a diagram for your radio? Or is the one on that document the same as yours, it wasnt the same as mine so that is why I am wondering.

Re: wiring pin out Question?

Not sure, but a question I got is, where did you get that diagram from? I've been looking for a place to get all the diagrams for the wiring harnesses. Would have helped a lot when I had to track down which cord went to which fuse box.

Re: wiring pin out Question?

I will have to look to see if I can find another RAP source when I get home. Maybe on one of the BCM plugs or something. I think it either turns the lights on when you open the door with the other lights or it turns them on when you press it in. I think it is for when you open your door though.

Re: wiring pin out Question?

no the RAP is the thing that causes the radio to stay on after you take the keys out and before you open the door. i just need to know what wire i can get to besiedes the radio to do it.

and what this means...
Electronic Control Unit Output - 12 Volt - Inadvertant Load Control

Re: wiring pin out Question?

I know I was talking about the Electronic Control Unit Output - 12 Volt - Inadvertant Load Control wire is the one that does that to the lights. It was me who told you what the rap was earlier.

So I looked through techline and the only other thing I could find that has RAP was on the BCM and it was RAP coil or something so I dont think it is the same thing. Only things I can think of that retain power is the radio and the power windows, at least on my truck. I couldnt find any wire for the power windows that was RAP so unless someone else knows of another location, you may have to go and tap into the radio wire.

Re: wiring pin out Question?

np. I seen some on there that showed a wire coming off the relay block that did it and one that is from the fuse block that goes to the radio so if you wanted to do it that way from the engine bay, I will see if I can send you the diagrams.

Re: wiring pin out Question?

Im glad they helped you out. I finished wiring mine today and everything seems to be working perfect surprisingly. I am going to calibrate the compass and I reset all the stuff so I will take it for a spin in a bit. I put some lighted mirrored visors in as well and they are pretty cool. I will post up pics later. Post some of yours when its done too.
