Who makes back up lights?

Hey, dudes and dudettes.

I've been looking around for a set of back up lights to put on my '97 Noma. I wanted to see what other people have done or seen done. I'm looking to get something to tuck up under the bumper and maybe even have them set up on a switch so I can flip 'em on when I'm parked.

Post some picks if you have 'em.

I have cheapo walmart 55 watt driving lights wired up to a relay to come on with the factory ones.

Re: Who makes back up lights?

The thing I'm not sure about is what kind of a light spread I can get. I'm thinking about just picking up three fog lamps or small driving lamps and aiming them so I get like a cone of light. I just don't know which kind of light would work out better.

Re: Who makes back up lights?

I just bought these from eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=110277922487

Quick shipping, and pretty damn bright, they also match with my license plate LEDs. I would post pics but my Mobo is fried, waiting on a case for my new one.

Re: Who makes back up lights?

You don't want fog logs, get driving lights. The fog lights make more of a long narrow beam of light while driving lights produce a short wide beam.

Good luck with the LEDs, I had some in my tails and backup lights and they sucked. During sunny days the tails are hard to see. The backups look good from behind but while your in the truck they don't light up crap.

Re: Who makes back up lights?

Those are just backup lights, I'm not doing LED's for the stop and tail lights.

Re: Who makes back up lights?

Alright, I found something that looks like it could work for me. The KC HiLites 26 Series all-weather setup. They are a pair of 2"x6" 55-watt H3 halogens. Then there are 3 different lenses: amber fog, clear fog, and clear driving. Plus there kit comes with a switch. $158.44. Then they have single lamps for $40.16 so I could do a three light setup.

Has anyone used the KC stuff at all or anything similar to this? Their setup is basically what I am looking for.
