what ecatlly are these 2 wires?
they run from my power supply to my alt.. one blew the other day so i had to replace it. tried to leave it unhooked and my truck wont start unless its hooked up..

Those are fusable links.
Make sure they get replaced by another fusable link! And not just a chunk of wire. They can simply wear with age (had more than one car drop dead from them corroding and failing), or you pulled a HELLA lot of current somewhere ahead of the breakers. |

i spliced some new fusable wire in there and hooked both back up to the alt.. just wondering what they were for..
