Tail light issue

Alrighty my 89 blazer has tail light issues. I would have problems with the pass side brake light, sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldnt. noticed the connector wouldnt hold the bulb very tight and that maybe it would slip in and out while driving, causeing it not to work all the time. Bought a new connector and it holds the bulb very snug like. everything works great, until i turn on my running lights or head lights. Nothing on the pass side tail light works. checked all my wiring, great. put the bulb in the right way it works, flip it then it and the little middle light turns on. i cant figure out whats wrong, has to be an electrical issue. maybe a short or ground issue somewhere?

Re: Tail light issue

Obviously check all your fuses. Then I would check the passenger side frame rail. The taillight wiring harness has 2 grounds on that side.

Re: Tail light issue

this may be stupid but check to make sure you're not using one way bulbs.

Also there is a connector for the tail lights right under your feet on the drivers side. Pull back the carpet and make sure of the wires isn't loose/disconnected.
