The e46's are nice, I used them in my fog lights. They light up the road a little better then the Valeos that I have. They aren't as colorful, but you can bend the shield in them to get a little more color if you like.

I still have my original housings, but I have another truck, so I drive that.

ah gotcha. I'm not too concerned about color at all actually. white is perfect for me. e46 projectors are probably gonna be a bit cheaper and easier to find so I'll probably go that route since I've seen a few people put them in s10 headlights. and i'll just keep my eyes peeled for a stock set of headlights on the classifieds in the next couple months

I had both the E46 and the Valeo. I prefered the E46 to the Valeo because of its width mostly. The color is certainly lacking, but if you are doing a retro its function over fashion anyways. In terms of the TSX, they are gigantic in comparison to the E46 or the Valeo. The E46 are a very good deal for a very decent small projector.

Envoy's are definetly the easiest and the only legal way to install HID's in these trucks. The lack of availability of parts, high prices, and style of the envoy lights may drive some people away. Plus the output will be the same as everyone else who has Envoy lights. With a projector in a sonoma housing, you can get different color and pattern based on which projectors you choose to use.

Both are good choices.

Re: Project projector... (HID)

I've got projector headlights on my blazer. The cut-off line isn't a very sharp line, it seems to go off in different directions towards the ends. Is there any way to fix that? Can I just make a new cut-off shield, or do i need to do a complete retro to get a sharper line?

Unfortunately that is due to the optics of the halogen projectors, your best bet would be to do a retrofit. You could play around with the shield and even make a custom shield out of aluminum, but the results won't be great.

Re: Project projector... (HID)

i get this cutoff

from this shield

you can see the start of the flares coming up on the left and how it "steps down" only a few feet right of the original steep, and it is all coming from a very straight shield with only one step.

ah, well i didnt know there was that large of a price difference. however, spend a good 4 or 500 on HIDs and its almost the same. im curious though, when you buy the envoy headlights, does that include the ballasts and such, or is that JUST the housing?

Get yourself a set of these clear headlights on ebay and put a projector in them.

Haha, I did these three years ago, the projectors are so outdated. I'm planning a new set-up with more modern projectors, maybe even bi-xexon's.

I think they stopped selling HID parts. Check out their classifieds section on their forum or you can look on ebay. Search for "hid projectors".
