Thanks. I'm not worried about the lights being out. The LED's themselves aren't bad, I tested them. On the backside of that little board are two surface mount resistors and one of them is upside down... I think that's why they're not working, it's just not making contact.

well a resistor being backwards will not do it..but it not touching the board will

I am quite pleased with the look. I haven't really checked the output of the reverse lights yet... I like the color, but I'll look at them closer tomorrow. Yes, I still have AHL's and DRL's.

I believe that it's not making contact... It's something I could fix if I really wanted too, but I'm not too worried about it.

Great, now you have me scared right before I go to bed... I guess I'll have to try them in the morning before I leave. All my testing thus far has been with the Blazer off and parking brake engaged. Tried with both key on and off, but always off with brake...

yes the white would block out most of the blue so what i did was keep the stock map light (for now) but i unplugged it halfway so it wont come on when i open the doors, when i do need a white light to read something then i push the connector in the back to get some white light.

what i might do is may get both blue and white leds for the map light, blue would look sweet but i kinda want some white light available in case i need to find something.

:edit: i just saw that you asked about the dome light, yes i did get a blue dome light a long time ago from superbright leds.

I just checked with the AHL's active and had no issues. I'll be able to try the DRL's right as I'm leaving for work.

I wasn't able to test it until I got to work, but the turns work as they should with the DRL's on.... I forgot to test the brakes though.

ok, so i've been following this thread pretty good, but im still slightly confused. i wanna change my gauge lights to white led's but what bulb should I use and do I have to buy new sockets or can I use the old ones? also, why is everyone using the 6 board led's with the 194 plug adaptor for under the dash? why not use the 6 board thats made for a 194?

i bought 360* blue led bulbs from vleds and got 8 new light sockets for the leds and spare. i couldnt get the stock bulbs out (one broke) so its just easier to get new light sockets for the leds so you can change back to stock for any reason.

the 360* led's come in pairs, so youll need 3x of them, as my gauge panel on my 03 has 6 bulbs

They are 1/2" instrument panel sockets. This is the package you will be looking for from AutoZone.

My flasher thingie had only three prongs coming out of it, as opposed to a Blazer's which had four. I switched back to my load resistor and all worked out. I still gotta buy one (load resistor) for the front turn signals. Ponders if I could hook up both the turn signal and the turn signal in the headlights together and if they would work?

Re: led light bulb comparison

Maybe someone can help me out with the HVAC bulbs and the sockets...? There aren't any holes in the bottom like the 194 sockets, so how do I actually get them to connect with the tiny gold pieces? The pictures from the LED cluster swap thread are all gone so now I'm kind of confused about these bulbs. After I get them all to work I'm taking picture and I think I'm gonna make a nice simple laid out how-to on here and a couple of other forums.

The HVAC's I got were the socketed T1 bulbs from that page. Also Brian, which little legs did you put through which hole on the 194? There are 4 legs on my 194's because I bought the ones you used in this thread.

Sounds like your tryin to put your new aftermarket 194 bulbs in the stock sockets right? If you go to autozone or similiar they have the aftermarket sockets too, that your new bulbs will just plug into, the pic of them have been posted in here a few times.

Kick ass that's what I was using was the stock sockets. Anyone know about the T1's and how they actually fit inside the socket? I'm going to try and experiment by bending the legs different ways. Thank you!
