Re: how to replace interior lights?

I have thought about adding a light bulb behind my switches, but the best way would be drill a hole in the switches and cover the hole with a plastic that has the light diagram etched to make it appear stock. The cheap and easy way is to drill two holes and put led's in the holes. Won't look stock though.

right, thats one way, on my switch there is already a hole in the back, if i use a bright enough LED than that should be good enough, but my question is how would i wire it up so that my light behind the switch would come on when i turn the lights on at night?

This is what I've been thinking about, like I said, you almost need to modify the switch to have a clear portion in the outline of the headlight symbols and keep it smooth and factory looking. You would have to do a simliar set up as the newer factory switches. Not sure how to accomplish this though. Maybe someone else will chime in.
