You could tap into your locks... whenever you use your stock remote to unlock the drivers door you could wire it so it activates that silenoid. And then do the same with the passenger side door. That would be easy as hell. But i'm running DEI viper 791xv on my truck and everything is controlled through that.

Looking at this kit, are the poppers spring loaded only? What if we wanted something more substantial? How do you go about getting some better poppers in the system? Or am I just thinking wrong?

I got my drivers side installed today... went pretty simple, i got so confused to where the screws went till i re-read the how-to.. haha

Question though, hooking these up to a compustar alarm.. brain 3300, which wires do I use? I have the driver side hooked up to my trunk release temporarely. Which will be my passenger side if all goes well. Should I just hook the other one up to secondary unlock or something??

I cant get my aux outputs to work for some reason.. :|

I just installed the avs poppers to replace my protocols'. The install is super simple and doesn't require you to drill any holes in your door unlike other poppers. The old poppers kept freezing up and only worked about half the time. If your trying to decide which ones to buy AVS is the way to go. They are also super quite!!!

yeah I can't wait to replace my Autolocs... i got through a couple of them a year and they are horrible...

Same boat.... my driver side will pull, but won't release... looks like I'll be picking up a set of these too...

I'm plannin on just gettin the poppers and usin the autoloc wiring. It's worked fine thus far...

i got it from a friend its an autoloc keyless entry kit which will work but the solenoids wont there for a trunk lid and would take more fab then i wanna deal with it heres a few pics of it

yeah i dont think that you need to use that for your application. you need to get something for the doors not the trunk.
