Horn Problem!!

Ive gotta get my inspection on my truck cause its a month passed due and ive forgot about it until 5-0 reminded me but I think there is a loose wire or something in my steering wheel cause it works when ever it wonts too or when i have the steering wheel upside downitll work sometimes and i was wondering what i have to do to pull the air bag face off the wheel or what else could be the problem..

Re: Horn Problem!!

Fist disconnect the batt and wait about 30 mins to be safe then un plug the yellow plug under the dash for the airbag then take a small flat blade screw driver and you will see 2 square holes on either side of the back of the wheel I’ve forgotten if its pry in or out but it will pop the bag out after both are pried sounds like your clock spring might be bad or it could just be a broken wire behind the bag

Re: Horn Problem!!

Could also be a problem with your multi-function switch. There is a small spring-loaded plunger on the back of the switch that rides in a contact on the back of the wheel for the horn.
