Couple of questions
I picked up a 2000 LS S10 yesterday.
1) It came with one key, no remotes. I checked the glove box for the au0 code for keyless and it does not have it nor does it have power locks. What are good kits for keyless entry and power locks? is there a combo unit? What have you guys used to make them power locks? 2) On the cd player OEM radio, there are a few lights out behind the "SEEK" , "1 2 4 5" buttons, so at night i cannot see what iam pushing and its annoying. What are the bulbs that replace these and how do i go about doing this? Thanks |

Re: Couple of questions
IMO find factory power lock actuators and latches, they arent that hard to swap, i did my power windows at the same time.

Re: Couple of questions
upgrade to an aftermarket stereo.
id think once you pull the radio to replace or fix the bulbs your going to need to put some sort of code into the factory radio once you hook it back up. im sure you dont have the code and the dealership here charged us 60 for the code for our cavalier. also, i think to change the bulbs you will have to open the stereo up, im not positive about that but seems like to much more work and money for a stock stereo. |

Re: Couple of questions
okay, if i did go the aftermarket route, what would be a good head unit. i only have a reg. cab 2000 s10. and maybe ill be getting one of those pre-built sub boxes for behind my seat, but thats down the road a bit. What is a good headunit with ipod and AUX inputs? the max ill pay is $250. I want a cd player in it too. I dont have a clue about anything with this and i got to learn to help me out.

Re: Couple of questions
id stick with kenwood, pioneer or alpine.. thats my opinion tho, but all of them are nice quality h/u's in your price range with what you want. i believe there may be a kenwood with the hook ups you want in the classifieds on here right now.
