i want the deep blue for my xtreme! The only thing is i have halo projectors that have the low beam bulb as a h1 but the wiring is still for 9006. There is a conversion from the 9006 plug to the h1 bulb. Would i just get the h1 kit and get rid of the conversion? What does a H1 plug in look like? Is it just those tabs that you push on to the tabs on the bulbs? Any help would be great!

Re: Best HID Kit?

BUMBLEBEE.....you would just get a h1 bulb when u order. the kits come with a standard plug that fits many vehicles. some vehicles that dont fit, they have another harness next to the plug that is just two male electrical clips that slip into ur plug and then you would electrical tape it up. had to do that on the nissan altimas.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-S...Q5fAccessories
that comes with h1 20,000k deep blue bulbs, then they have a standard ballast that plugs into all the aftermarket hid bulbs. my s10 plugged right into that ballast so u shouldnt have any issues tho. So basically if you where to buy that you would specify that you want 20,000k deep blue h1 bulbs when you check out in the comments section of payment.

keep in mind i dont know this person and i dont sell these. this is just someone i have done business over ebay with many times and havent had an issue.

Re: Best HID Kit?

you may also need a relay kit if the lights dont turn on right away or flicker on start up or sometimes dont come on at all. my s10 didnt need it but others have needed it.

Re: Best HID Kit?

but if it has to go through the conversion from the 9006 plug to the h1 would that affect it cu those wires not be to the standard of the hid kit

Re: Best HID Kit?

Nope, it wont effect anything. I'm going to be retrofitting fxr projectors into my headlights, and they're d2s. I already got the d2s hid kit, and the stock 9006 plugs right into it, and the d2s plugs into te other side without a problem!

DDM Tuning is a good company to go through. They have lifetime warranty on their products.

u wont have to cut wires. the plug socket is h1 but the electrical connections is a male and female connector that connects the the male and female connectors that come from the ballast that power the bulb. the plug that plugs into ur 9006 bulb will plug into the female plug that is the power wire for the ballast.

Re: Best HID Kit?

the red circles are the connections that go from the ballast to the light bulb.

the blue circle is the fitting that fits the factory plug that powers the ballast. the plug that comes out of your 9006 bulb should fit right into that plug.

Re: Best HID Kit?

i know that ddmtuning has a life time warranty and they are $30 if you just buy the HID's and ballast + shipping so good price and good warranty and i have heard others rave about there products that is why i bought mine from them. i do not have them installed yet but i did put one bulb in one of my headlights and try on and they are bright as hell and i was comparing it to a silverstar.

i cant say any other brands are crappy or shoddy stuff, but from my experience with vvme.com.. it is a better choice...

Re: Best HID Kit?

what year truck are you wanting to put HID's in?

IF 95+ with the composite headlights your low beams will be 9006 and hi beams will be 9005

if you are running the sealed beam headlight conversion most of the housings that i have seen run a H4 bulb and they have them in the BI-XENON HID kits

Re: Best HID Kit?

I used to sell and install HID kits. I've never been disappointed with DDM Tuning, VVME, or Xentec.
