battery relocate problem

ok so i relocated my battery to my bed using 12 feet of 1/0 gauge wire but it wasnt long enough. so then i used a fused power block and about a foot of 4 gauge wire to the battery. i also ran a 450 compressor and a 700 watt amp from the same fuse junction.... is that ok?

at the other end i used a junction to connect the alt and the other 2 wires originally from the battery.

lastly, to ground the battery i used 10 gauge wire to the chasis...

is this all sufficient enough? i plan to run another battery in parallel but im worried about the wiring pulling enough current

Let me get this right:

on the positive side you ran 1/0 untill it ran out and from a power block in #4 to the starter, compressor, amp, alt, and the voltage gauge wires. I think 4 is a bit small for your amp and to the alt but for everything else it should be fine.

On the negative side you used 10 gauge? WTH get rid of that shit and put at least #4 back, better yet get enough 1/0 to finish your other job and do a big 3 upgrade. 10 gauge is way undersized.

Re: battery relocate problem

When I first done it mine was 4 gauge but after I started adding more electrical crap (and I got the wire free) I upgraded to 1/0. Most people use 1/0 tho.

Re: battery relocate problem

i know its ghetto as hell... but for a temporary use until i get more money for more 1/0... u think i could just double up on wires... like 2 4 gauges wires?

Re: battery relocate problem

ok so i got a new problem.... went to start up today and battery was drained...

could this be because of such a small gauge ground?
