Spike G has a little shameless behaviour in the past
1997 2.2l tach instalation

Ive used the search feature, and i have read through the first 7 pages of the Electrical/Lighting section, i still can not figure this tach out. i have the red, black and white wires hooked up, the dash will not come off past the hazard switch because it is wedged between the steering column and the top of the dash. i don't know what wire or where to look even under the hood if i followed the directions it came with. it is a sunpro supertach II. any help is appreciated

Can't help you with the tach install but i have a 97 and those front bezels are a biotch to get off. When you're taking the front bezel off, make sure that your hands are positioned on the bezel directly over the top of the gauge cluster and then pull foward and push down at the same time and it will come out, stubbornly but it will come. Sorry i cant help with the tach issue but i'm sure it would help if you could get that bezel out of the way so that you could see whats happenin back there.

There are other ways to do this but the way I did it was... I went to the computer. 1st plug towards motor, 10th pin, white wire.
