Wrong to keep truck ex paid for?

My ex wife bought me a truck when we were married. She bought the truck I always wanted a ext cab zq8 down to the interior options. Now my new g/f found out and shes flipping saying the only reason I love my truck so much is because my ex paid for it. Every time I tell her I can't go out that night Because im working on my truck she flips and for a week wont stfu. She brought up puttin this truck back to stock and selling and buying another. Gave me a idea. Sell my truck and buy a truck minus motor and trans. I'd have money left over to build it up some.

Re: Wrong to keep truck ex paid for?

First thought but the idea of a full on build with a chunk of cash on hand sounds good.

Re: Wrong to keep truck ex paid for?

you opinion man. But why would you give up a truck that you said you always wanted just for a girl? ya you might get money and a build but down the road im sure you'll regret it.

Won't seperate me from a truck. There is no sentimental value to it. If i sold it id buy another just like it.

With that said, why even bother with selling it. If your goin to buy the same truck you would be out money. Cause you'll never get what your ex paid out of it, so that means you start with less money, then tryin to find another one like it just seems like a waste of money and time to me.

Just tell your new girl that your tryin to work on it to change it so much that is doesnt even resemble the truck your ex bought you Then when you have a baddass truck maybe she'll hush.

Well said, sir.

This woman is going to always be suspicious of anything/everything you do. Nip that BS in the bud now, or you'll constantly be on an uphill battle with anything you do with/without her.

Re: Wrong to keep truck ex paid for?

heres a good idea...

dont talk to her for like a week, do all the body work you want/need to do to it, get it painted, and then show up, and be like "see, you didnt shut-up, so now I has new truck... commence on making me a sammich!"

disclaimer: if she doesnt talk to you after that week, its not my fault...lol at least you got your body work done...
