To trade my truck, or not to trade.

Okay heres the run down. i figure my truck is worth.. maybe 1500 if im lucky.

im looking at trading my truck and 1500 for a 91 blazer.

heres blazer specs.

2 door
2 wheel drive
black and primer (needs paint, so does my truck)
zq8 sway bars
lowered
gm crate TBI 350
700r4
95 fullsize computer
typhoon cluster
leather interior
floor shift console out of newer blazer, overhead console out of newer blazer
camaro rear discs
3:42 rear, auburn posi.
tuned for 87, to be a DD
gets 20 ish highway mpg
still has heat AND ac both work.

the bad:
a little rust, nothing i cant fix.
interior is partially red, previous owner started changing it out to black. which isnt a big deal to me.

i know the blazer is nice. i know someone put alot of time into it.

but my truck is my first vehicle, and i know everything about it. ive redone it completely, but its a 4 banger... and it has its problems too.

its also a truck, which i would rather have the blazer for seating, extra room, and stereo

your truck for the blazer or the 1500 for the blazer but not both. If you give him the cash and your truck he's getting the better deal while you get raped.
Lastly a 91 blazer is only worth 1800 tops considering I sold a 94 blazer for that.

well basically you want to trade him "your" problems for "his" problems and give him money to fix "your" problems. Is he giving you money to fix "his" problems. So basically you are not gaining anything, but a new set of "problems" to work on.

so what it's just a motor. you can get a good junk yard motor for less that that. There's something he's not telling you.
