We are closing the classified section of this site for a while. We are working on a few things and are going to need to shut this thing down for a while.

You will be able to see the place, but you will not be able to create new ads.

We are going to implement a few things on here to better the classifieds for all.

Some people will be pissed and some will be happy.

We will update this thread as we see fit with news and information about the classifieds.

If you want to cry about it then do so, but be ready for the lashback by staff.
If you want to give us information on what to add to or remove then post it.

We are open for feedback, but the constant bitching about is not going to be tolerated.

BTW IT WILL BE WIPED CLEAN FOR A FRESH START.

I'm new here and not sure if it has it, but a feedback system is great to have. We have one on another forum Ive been on for years.

Also, either fix/remove the zip code calculator as I've read its broken.

I personally don't like the layout it has now... The description takes up to much room on the main page, maybe narrow it down to just a short title so it will show a picture if they post one, and just the description.

Im not trying to bitch, just suggest what I've seen work elsewhere

Maybe also add a "search by location" so you can see whats available to you close, instead of finding a car thats 1000 miles away, or a bed thats 750 miles away and you dont want to ship it

No joke. If this cannot be fixed, can you fix some of the nitwits who can't read? You know the ones, they ask where the item is located even though the seller mentioned his hometown in the ad, sometimes in the first sentence.

15. When creating an ad, have a small form for the seller to list the box dimensions(L" x W" x D"), shipping weight, and zip code. That way potential buyers will have that info so they can figure an approximate shipping quote. I always list it in my ads to help reduce myself from having to figure shipping quotes for a bunch of tire kickers.

I wait to sell an item to box it up, that way if it doesn't sell then I'm not out boxing, packing, and time. I mean it's great you list it in your ads, but it's just too much trouble for me and most people IMO.
