My first car was a 2dr 79 Malibu Classic with a half vinyl top. My dad had me help finish a basement, as much as I could do at 12, and took the car as payment for the job. It needed the engine reworked and veal load of body work, but I could say it was mine, LOL. I wish I still had it, but I had to give it to my sister to get my first truck which was a 78 rclb Silverado. She sold it to a guy close to us. He dumped a load of money into making it look good, in his opinion, with a copper paint job and white interior and them totaled it about a month later.

Re: Your First Car Or Truck Thread!

I'll have to look for photos to scan.

89 Crown Vic, decommissioned police car. Still had the spotlight, so we liked to drive through certain parts if Jackson and light up the sidewalk with it so that we could watch the pimps, whores, and pushers scatter like some jumping beans. Although we didn't stick around to see the aftermath.

Re: Your First Car Or Truck Thread!

I dont have any pics...my very first car was a '77 Olds 442 that my dad gave a 9mm for. Original silver paint, red interior. Not a straight body panel on it (nothing major, lotsa little dents) 235x75-15 AT truck tires. That car was so, so fast. To this day, still the fastest car ive ever owned. Tranny died, and we swapped it for a bunch of 70 mustang parts.

Back when I thought euro lights were cool, big mistake. Desperately needed a drop as well but I got a new car before I could get around to doing anything major to it. Now its just rusting away unfortunately.

Re: Your First Car Or Truck Thread!

first vehicle I ever bought was a 1992 Ford ranger extended cab XLT with the 4 liter in it. Shouldn't have sold it, the guy I sold it too is still driving it everyday, and it's held up quite well. Replaced it with an '03 s-10 that began rusting out the day I got it, and started leaking coolant the next. But the S-10 was my baby for 6 years, just had no time or money to put into the thing.

Now between the wife and I we have an '08 pontiac Montana (kid hauler) and an '05 Nissan X-trail (our in town vehicle) Absolutely love the X-trail, just hard to get parts for (everything is special order) as it was only available in Canada in '05 and '06 and never released in the U.S.

79 ranchero GT, Had a 351 windsor and I was going to replace the connecting rod bearings, Started tearing into it to rebuild it but never got it out on the road. Ran out of money and time ended up scrapping it for like $500, But damn I miss it till this day, Oh, And I got it when I was 13.

Re: Your First Car Or Truck Thread!

I don't remember all the details... but...

198? Chevy Citation. 2dr, V6 auto. I never had to change the oil in it, just spin on a new filter every couple of months. I TRIED killing this car and it would. not. die. The fold down rear seats came in really handy too! I bought it when I was 15, and gave it to my neighbor when I was 18. It threw a rod a week later. I used a settlement from a dog attack when I was 8 to get my hands on my Rabbit GTI... now THAT'S a car I wish I still had

I didn't have the x11, but same body and color scheme

Re: Your First Car Or Truck Thread!

The yellow dime. Crashed it when I was 15. Parents said its yours but you fix it on your own.
Drove it in various states of repair before painting it in my senior year. Probably crushed by now

Also seen is my second car (91 3000gt vr4) bought myself but mom cosigned. Some asshole in a brand new Yukon rear ended me going 45. Crushed.

The 03 cobra is my 5th car. Bought in 06 with no cosign. Sitting at moms house with 17k miles on it.

Re: Your First Car Or Truck Thread!

I hated those Hawaii inspection stickers especially when trying to avoid recon. My "sources" for the stickers were always getting busted.
