Will your s10 still look good 10-20 years from now???

Over the years things change and looks change. Looking at my old trucks from years ago I think the same truck now a days if I built it would look great. So show us your older pics of your trucks let see you you can hang with the change of time

Pic taken back in 2001 almost 12 years ago and I think this truck would still fit in as being clean today

My old ride just turned 21 yrs old with 187,200 on the clock. It just
passed Cali test only smog test on Thursday. I can't afford another
so I'll drive it until I can't and NO, through the years and an old lady
rear ending me, it doesn't look anything like it used to and it's a shame.

I plan to pass mine on to my kids once I have them.

MY skinny ass with my 94 and my little bro when i was 18. I wish I never sold it. Static dropped 3/3 on 15 inch enkie wheels.

My 02 dropped 3/4 but had 4 cylinder springs instead of the 6 cylinder springs.

And now my 00 bagged all around. Just need to notch and put the 6-link on. Has 18 inch centerline daggers. This is the one I will build up over time and pass on to one of my kids when they come.

My truck looks worse now than when I bought it about 5 years ago, but it is only a few months away from being paid off (I don't think I'll ever sign up for car payments again!)

Once it is paid off I can use the cash I would normally use just to own it to tidy it up.

No plans to sell it.

Re: Will your s10 still look good 10-20 years from now???

My truck is 10 years old now. Got a few scratches here and there but overall it's in pretty good condition and still shiny. It has been the most reliable auto I have ever owned and is still running great at 68000 miles. I don't plan on parting with it any time soon since it costs me nothing to keep it other than insurance and it's value isn't worth a decent trade-in on a newer car so I'll keep it as my daily driver and grocery getter.

So in other words, change most everything I did to it.

Sorry I understand your reply and no offense taken but I am from a different era than you and it is staying the way it is and built in the area from when it was new, the only thing I might change would be maybe for some 18" rims later (plus then I dont have any place for my subs if I lose the topper).

I love your truck the way it looks. Besides, I have a feeling that style will be coming back in the next couple of years, especially the topper. I'd leave it.

As for my truck, its will look good as long as I own it. I drive the shit out of it in the summer, but I ALWAYS keep it clean top to bottom.

Well I mean I wasn't saying it's not nice I was just saying it wouldn't take much to put in the current "style." I don't mind the topper much just not a fan of the rims. And yeah I get it you're old lol.

Likin this truck, The rims were a good choice. I don't see cars that often that can pull off that style of a wheel unless it's a classic car. Definitely keep it like that. I can also see this scene coming back very shortly.

I grew up in the wrong era. I LOVE that truck. Everything about it. The wheels are awesome!

And I'll be happy if mine looks good in 5 years with the salt usage up here. Sigh...

Yes, I do believe my truck will be in style (when I get it to a "finished" product), even with its antique tags.

A simple, clean, subtle build like Norcal's and 94ChevySS's will always look good, and that is what I want for mine. I will admit, 94Chevy's wheels might be a bit dated, but compared to many of the wheels I have seen on here, they are far from fugly. The grille, well we all rant and rave over Heater's truck, same grille, so obviously it isn't out dated, unless we really are just a bunch of leg humpers.

Procrastination has carried me this far in life, it will carry me to my grave, and hopefully put that off as well.

'98 RCSB on jack stands, waiting on me to get the 4.8 and T56 swap together, while I steal parts off of it to keep the daily going.

'99 2DR 2WD Blazer that I bought for a daily but just can't leave it alone.

Just bought this one last week an '02, and my 4th S10. I think I'm going to do the opposite of what most do, I'm taking it back 100% stock, and that won't take much. I need some Xtreme badges since the PO took 'em off.

This was my truck in 2003. I still have it, just did 98-up front and step side last year with new paint. I think its held its own through the years to be a dd

I think you'll notice that the trucks with a "timeless" look haven't gone through a lot of extreme cosmetic changes. I'm hoping my Jimmy becomes one of those trucks. 10 years from now, the only thing I see that might be dated is the rims. I'm hoping to change them to billet soon.

I have had my truck for 12 years- and it isnt going anywhere....

10 years from now, the shotgun scoop may be dated, but I have really tried to keep as many factory parts as i could (including bumpers, handles, mirrors)
And YES.... I am building the bed now, lol

Happens when you don't take care of rock chips, don't run garden house in the drain plugs and don't oil spray. Truck is still better shape then anything I can find tho

I probably won't own an S10 for 10-20 years because its impossible to find one to keep on to in the first place in Canada
