My dad's boss has a 1970 chevelle ss, it has a 502 big block in it, my question to you guys is this;
Did the 502 come stock?
and What would you guys give for it??

it probably came stock with a 396, maybe a 454 but i doubt it, def not a 502

If you had then money, and that is in fact the car, you would be stupid not to. The 502 did not come stock, which I am sure lee-mills link told you. So, it wouldn't be a numbers matching car but would pull at least $20,000. I have seen clones go for more than 25,000.

The largest engine was the 454 for that year. The largest engine EVER put into a car from the factory, if I recall correctly, was a 455 in a Pontiac. But those are the stock wheels I believe. I would GLADLY give $12K for it, $15K at the most if everything were perfect, which it looks like it could use some work.

Looks like some potential , I do part development/sales for one of the biggest parts houses for chevelle and "a" body cars in the US .Send me the vin and Ill let you know what the car truly is because all day long everybody's malibu is a "ss" if you know what I mean .With a lil more info on what is in it and has been done I can quote a better price of value .But once a lot of stock items are gone ,mia etc the value kicks down
