shit, here a tow starts at 100 and goes up depending on mileage. 5 miles is almost 200. Makes me glad my ride has never touched a tow truck. I aim to keep it that way

Re: WHat would you say if you saw this ahead of you....

A five mile tow is $200? WTF!!!! Guess a AAA membership is mandatory around there! I had a guy years ago pull one & gave me a bill for $125 for a Sunday night tow. Then the going rate was $35. Called the car's owner & found out it was her son that owned the tow truck. Told her I would not accept it & he towed it out of my lot. FTMF! No wonder towing is such a big business.

Age and tretchery wins over youth and enthusiasm every time!!

Yea, towing is freaking expensive, and I'm glad I have AAA with 3 free tows per year. And here in Houston, on the highways, if you're broken down, you have to be towed, no exceptions. So I always see 2-3 trucks waiting around hoping to get the tow. When there's a wreck, you'll see 10-15 of them ****ers sitting around, they cause more trouble than the help since they block off the roads.

Re: WHat would you say if you saw this ahead of you....

around Toronto is the same for tow trucks. even seen a few guys literally fight to see who gets the tow....and they charge a lot, don't care if you got AAA or CAA or DAA. you get towed off the highway then you call your AAA. and don't forget to ask how much he charges cause my buddy didn't and the guy asked for 150$ to tow him 1 mile.
