Basic. No hard drive and they give you a couple arcade type games like Pac-man and UNO on the console. Not bad if you got the deal cause a 20gb HD is like $20 on eBay I think.

Yeah on the arcades I think they have like a filler panel where the hard drive goes. You just literally push a button and pop it out right on top. You can take your hard drive to another console and play at a friends house and what not. They discontinued the 20 and 60gb HD's so they can be had on eBay pretty cheap. When I was in retail I waited till they went on clearance. At one time the 60 was down to $40 but someone put it back on the shelf before I could get the money

Looks like that to me, but the PS3 comes with a 120gb now and it's upgradable to a 500gb. Don't know what the 360 is upgradable to.

I think they either give you a disc or they are saved on the console itself. I'm not sure though I've never had one. Just used to work in retail for a couple of years and people would always ask me.

I think for the WMC you need the upgraded version of Vista. It doesn't work on Vista basic

Why not just get a PS3, upgrade the HD, and use it as a media player? I have about 40 full length .vob(DVD quality) movies on mine and a bunch of music. I still have almost 200gb's left. Mines a 400gb, and last I checked you can safely upgrade the PS3's to 500gb's.
