Wal-Mart "Pre-Black Friday" Sale this Saturday.

For those of you that might be wanting some of this stuff for good deals and short lines then here ya go:

http://www.walmart.com/christmasshop...2763640978168#

Great deal for anyone wanting a Xbox 360.

What do you guys think about that $300 laptop? I've been thinking about getting a new one, I wonder how much cheaper it is than the regular price? I looked and couldn't find it anywhere and don't know of a HP that's comparable. I had planned on going and getting some stuff to re-sale but I'm sick so I doubt I'll go unless it's a good deal on that laptop.

The laptop is made specifically for Walmart. It's junk.

15.6-inch WXGA display
2.2GHz Celeron 900 processor
3GB of RAM
250GB hard drive
LightScribe DVD burner
Intel GMA 4500M graphics

I was wondering about it as I read the specs. I didnt know they still made single core notebooks. I want dual core at minimum now.

if it's just for daily use to get on the net would it still be junk?

The HP that the exwife got was a $1400 built setup with a dual core so it was pretty sweet. The one I have now is a $350 one I got at this sale last year, it's a single core but all I use it for is to get on the net and do some school work on. Does the job for me and runs fast too.

Re: Wal-Mart "Pre-Black Friday" Sale this Saturday.

I wouldn't call it "junk." Yeah, its not a dual-core but for $300 I think 3 GB ram and a 250 GB hard drive is pretty good. I don't think people would replace their desktops for this but it's good for internet/MS Office/S10forum/Porn/Pics/Music.

Last year they did this $100 gift card with a PS3 and that was the best deal on a PS3 last year. I'm guessing it'll be the same for the 360.

That sucks, not to start a gaming war but I've never had those probs with either of the PS3's I've owned. I have had a game lock up a few times on the newer one I have. Pretty shitty when you're high up in a game and it just quits.

i've thought about picking up a ps3 in the past, and once i get back to a steady income i just might. . .$300 isn't bad for a gaming console and a blu ray player, and that's how i look at the ps3, it helps me rationalize spending that much on it. . .

Re: Wal-Mart "Pre-Black Friday" Sale this Saturday.

Most anything wal-mart is gonna have is made just for them and might be junk. They require a manufacturer to sell them at set price so they can resale it lower than the competitor. This normally wouldn't be a problem but some manufacturers are forced to make their product cheaper to meet wal-marts demand and the end product might have some short cuts in it.

The black friday stuff is normally the worse. When I worked there we used to have a ton of that junk returned cause it was faulty.

This. Every week or so when I put a game in to my xBox 360, it decides it doesnt wanna read the disc, so I just open then close the tray like 30 times then it works for a week or two. I was trying to justify buying another 360 to replace it, but I'm at my mom and dad's until April and my dad already has a 360 so I'm gonna get me a PS3 for my room. A blu-ray player AND gaming system? I'll take 2 .

while partially correct, it's definitely not true for those computers. . .i worked for HP's quality department for 6 years, and many walmart products came through at one point of another. . .their multiple 1000 kit orders received the same treatment on our assembly lines, customization lines, and quality department as our 10 kit orders or a 3 kit order. . .the only difference was if one system failed out, it held up another 999 computers, which could mean multiple trucks might get help up on shipping, where 1 system may only hold up a 60 kit order which would just go out on another truck. . .actually, it was pretty hard for the average line lead to distinguish who a computer was actually being built for. . .most of the customer names on large orders like a walmart, best buy, or other large retailers would usually just be a store number without a name on the build list. . .

mine will never lock up during a game, it'll lock up when it's trying to read the disk at the start of a level or when it's loading a map when i'm playing World at War

Technically, yes. But, they were probably sold out by 8:10.

Here laptops and the two smaller tv's were sold out at 8. Had 3/4 of a pallet left of the dvd players, had some blu rays, bunch of 360's. I left around 8:30 and there was one other person behind me.
