Verizon's LG Chocolate Phone

Ha this could be a shot in the dark, but does anyone know anything about Verizon's LG Chocolate phone and ways to bypass/flash the firmware on their latest version so that I can use BitPim again. I originally got my Chocolate phone in september and it had a version 4 firmware and I could use my USB cable to transfer ringtones and pictures from my phone to my computer and visa versa...then it malfunctioned and I took it to verizon and got a replacement Chocolate (which I was about), but not happy when I found out it had a version 6 firmware that totally blocks any and all access to my SD card....

cause we all know how verizon is money hungry and really wants people to have to pay for everything....

no thanks.

Re: Verizon's LG Chocolate Phone

yeah howardforums is good....i've looked there for the last couple weeks....and some people have found ways around it and others haven't there is supposidly this program called LGDownload.exe that no one can find.

One person on that forum even suggested taking it to verizon to have them do....so I was like alright and gave it a shot...

I walked in there and was like hi, I was told you could flash this to a lower firmware version...and the girl knew exactly what I was talking about had no puzzled look in her eye (I am sure she has probably been asked this several times). She then proceeded to go in the back came out like 5 minutes later and said "no, you can't flash it; it is unpossible"....

I was like you mean impossible? ahahahaha

I can see why she works at verizon.
