Re: The New Firearm Thread

You're more than welcome to your own opinion but it is a dangerous one.

FMJ shouldn't be carried if you value others lives and your freedom. Not bashing you here, just trying to educate.

Re: The New Firearm Thread

I do value others lives. Also I don't carry in highly populated areas. My carry gun has a very short barrel. 2". And I've found that hollow points don't shoot as true. So in my defence that can be just as dangerous. Think about it guys. Its still a stray round. But I guess I should be asking. What ammunition should I be using?

Re: The New Firearm Thread

You are more than welcome to your own opinion. But for all the farther you are going to be shooting in a defensive situation, the difference in accuracy between an FMJ and HP is a moot point. Overpenatration at that distance, however, is a serious concern.

Edit: Left the screen up for 5 min and got ninja'd like 4 times haha

Speer Gold Dot, Horniday Critical Defence, Federal Hydra-shock are a couple off the top of my head.

I would NOT use this as duty ammo in fact my dept. will not allow it.
GOLD DOT is all i use
Have you or your work ever thought of magsafe ammo?
