Nice, I've got a couple streamlights. Fenix is another great light brand!

Re: The New Firearm Thread

I have a few fenix lights as well, I have found the streamlights to be a bit more robust for the money. And Streamlight customer service is amazing. I have had many many replaced under warranty, breaking due to my EXTREME abuse of the product. they have always abliged no matter how jacked up the light was that I sent them. I even took one diving and killed it, they still warrantied it. I have broken the head clean off of one and they again didnt bat an eye at replacing it free of cost to me.

For the money, IMO its really hard to beat the Streamlight Protac 2AA, I have 4 of them, one by my bed, 1 in the kitchen, one in my car, and 1 in my wifes car.

I saw the Polytac, the size and light output was perfect and decided Id give it a try.
Its perfect so far, If it holds up like the rest of mine it will be well worth every penn of the $40 it costs lol

Re: The New Firearm Thread

My newest light is a fenix pd35, got it around christmas. At about 850 lumens in a handheld package it's a hell of a light!

Re: The New Firearm Thread

Streamlight is all I've had (stinger led, protac 2l, and stylus pro). Been looking at the Fenix TK 22 special edition to mount (680 lumens, package deal with batteries and charger on Amazon for around 100), but now that polytac looks like the perfect thing. I don't really NEED 680 lumens anyways lol .

Re: The New Firearm Thread

I dont really know, Its one I picked up locally here at The Outpoast Armory (owned and opperated by the Barrett family, yes like the Barrett .50 same folks)

I can tell you that this one will light up the woods in my backyard like frickin' daylight and still allows me to have perfect use of my EOTech, And a super bright strobe feature, is dimable, and has a programable switch cap. I wouldnt ever want a rechargeable light on my weapon... I want to be able to pack up some batterys and hit the trail if need be and not wonder about where Im going to recharge, CR123As are plentiful and cheap if you know where to get them. And a dozen of them dont weigh anything.

Re: The New Firearm Thread

Well the fenix has a rechargeable or can use 2 cr123a batteries. Also, I just found out earlier that I can program the streamlights lol. Been wanting to put my big one to low/high since I use it when I worked at the shop.

Edit: but I'll probably get the polytac, found it with a mount (looks like yours) for 50 on Amazon.

Re: The New Firearm Thread

I've had a Mosin for just about two years now that I still haven't fired yet. I did pickup about 800 rounds of ammo for it before shit went crazy with supply/demand the other year.

Re: The New Firearm Thread

^ damn you....i always needed a sling but finally decided to get one.

The price of the sling isnt bad imo, but the cost of the quick disconnects i bought were more than the sling! . then again all the reviews i've seen on the cheaper ones were talking about the QD falling out and not fitting the rail correctly.

Definitely have to play with the straps quite a bit for a nice fitment.

Re: The New Firearm Thread

^ nice.

Got rid of my cheap scope and finally upgraded to something legit.

Nikon M-223 4-16x42

the glass is pretty damn impressive compared to my other cheap $120 scope. mind you this is from me holding my camera and gun up, so it was hard to line up for a pic (shaky). there is zero blur when you look through it in person.

Re: The New Firearm Thread

Im not going to hack it all up however. It will receive a Chinese bayonet to replace the missing Russian one though. and it is already modified to accept removable promag/tapco mags which Im perfectly ok with as well.

The wood is staying, bayonet staying (being replaced) and it should make a nice plinker. I will have hardly a dime in it though..

Re: The New Firearm Thread

Pretty nice SKS you got there, but we need more "merica"

Bought myself a SRM 1216 shotgun. 12 gauge, 16 rounds of semi-auto shoulder bustin fun. Definitely an interesting gun.

Didn't shoot the quickest for a mag dump, but i was just shooting up a target i had down range.
