Does anyone else see alot more disrespect from some of the younger generation than ours? Some of these kids now days are really getting to me. I mean, my little bro is 19 and he is a little punk ass. 22 and a lot of the "kids" that run around my neighborhood and that are disrespectful are MY age. They mess with other people's stuff because their parent's buy them everything they want so they don't know the value of a dollar. I'm $30K in debt (because of school) and worked for everything I own, and I mean everything. I just joined the Navy a little while back because I'm tired of seeing all these little pricks running around and decided that I didn't wanna be confused with any of them. I wanna earn what I have.

What really triggered it was a few members on here, I mean I know its the internet but some people are just dicks at the wrong times. I laugh when its warranted for someone else to be a dick but when someone is asking for help, its not necessary to be a complete asshole. I just cant believe how many dumbass kids have access to the internet and spread their shit. Much like the ones on the youtube that post the "1st!!!!!" comments like their gonna get a piece of ****ing candy or something lol

I guess I have to clarify myself to the 20 and 22 year old, respectively.

If the younger generations, such as yourselves, can't form a sentence or speak intelligible, then when it comes time to interview for a career, I would see myself as a better candidate. I also think if a younger person lacks a good work ethic, lacks substantial employment history, lacks respect, and lacks common courtesy, then I will have the upper hand again in the eyes of an employer.

Let's use this as an example.

Person A and Person B are both seeking employment to work as X at company Y. Both Person A and Person B are of the same age. Person A is a spoiled brat, who cant take his eyes away from the iPhone his parents pay for, and only goes to job interviews so his parents keep paying for his fifth year of college even though he only has 65 credits towards his B.A. in street pharmaceutical sales. Person B has completed his degree with honors from a respected state university, has a substantial employment history to include honorable military service, and knows how to say words like sir, please, and thank you. Company Y interviews both candidates and upon interview completion realizes Person A is a conceited D-bag who will be a liability to his company and Person B is the best qualified person for the job.

In conclusion, this hopefully clarifies that a more respectful, intelligent person will greatly improve their chance of post college success. And I have no clue what you are talking about when you said "more employment opportunities means higher taxes." It must be a younger generation thing.

Ive realized it since I was in high school, all the freshman were basically emo retards, I was hoping it was just an age difference thing and the would be as mature as I was when I was a senior, and seeing them now, theyre still the same retarded and just as oblivious to the real world.

I will admit that I was a little like that a couple years ago, but living away from mom and dad for a little over a year has improved that. and I have always had polite mannerisms, my parents taught me well on that, and Ive gained a niche for being polite beyond that of my parents expectations now, to be honest its very rare to see that nowadays. I almost never see anyone hold a door for anyone, and I almost always do it, the same goes for opening the car door for a lady.

I have to agree with everyone as well. My younger brother is a member on here and always respectful(for being 17)....but everyone else in his highschool are complete idiots. I graduated in 05 from the same school and even then I could see things changing rapidly. Two kids just got arrested for selling Xanax or however you spell it...there's at least a fight a day...cocaine was the big drug when I left and I dont even want to know what it is now.....Keep in mind this is in an area where the average family income is 80,000+. Even working at the grocery store for a few years with younger guys my age made me scratch my head and think "what the heck are you guys thinking?"....if you're boss asks you to do something you do it no questions asked.

Just don't know anymore...some really messed up things going on...and that doesn't say much about what the future holds...considering they are supposed to be "our next generation of presidents and leaders"
