Re: Syclone for sale - Bay area

I'd love to drive a Syclone, just to see what all the fuss is about.

Re: Syclone for sale - Bay area

i think 16k is pretty fair, as its all original and only 36k miles

the ones that go for 8-11k have 75-100k and have a bunch of add ons and stuff

16K seems a little on the high side maybe 14k, but its still nice and with 36K miles and all original, thats hard to find

Re: Syclone for sale - Bay area

well, according to KBB.com, he is only $2200 above what private party value is if it is in excellent condition...he wants $16K and kbb values it at $13.8K...I dont know though, it still isnt worth it to me. I think if I had maybe $8k to throw away in a careless manner then I would offer that to him for it. But for all practical purposes, $16k can get you a hell of a lot more truck than that.

Re: Syclone for sale - Bay area

True but I think these trucks have taken on a more collective value than anything else. Especially a bone stock one with less than 50k miles. Think about it like a Grand National.

Re: Syclone for sale - Bay area

The truck is worth as much as someone is willing to pay. If I had the money I'd buy it for $16K. Good deals can be found though, I've wanted one for almost a decade and waited for mine for 3 years before I bought it for 5k

Yeah but in reality collectible value of anything only means what somebody is willing to pay for it. If a 1991 Syclone where there were nearly 3000 of them built is worth $16k in collectible value in this condition, what would a 1992 be worth since they only made 3 of them? Should the value double to $32000? What about one of the Marlboro edition Syclones where there were 10 customed out by ASC?

If he put that thing on the auction block it wouldnt fetch $10,000.00 right now, not in my opinion.

Yeah and the guy says he thinks he's giving it away at 16k... I wonder what he thinks it's worth.

Re: Syclone for sale - Bay area

i say there's bullshit in this, for one its not "bone stock" syclones didnt come with fiberglass tonneau covers they came from the factory with soft covers, if you were presenting a concourse car for judgement you would be penalized for this.

why does he insist on discussing his divorce and then feel it necessary to add "new fiancee", he can afford a grand national and syclone but cant afford a warehouse? this guy sounds like a bullshit artist or a used car salesman. i wouldn't trust it

The Marlboro Syclones have gone for over 100,000 in the past.

It's all what someone is willing to pay. I wouldn't pay that much but someone might.
