Use aveeno shaving cream, I had that problem and it solved. That and wash fool!

i maintain a neat trim with a beard trimmer. leaves just enough to avoid any irritation and makes things quicker to wash in the shower.

I think I got it for 15.... They have a mustache trimmer that looks exactly the same for cheaper but it has different attachments.
