Say goodbye to S10forum.com
Yep guys, this site can be gone. It probably will with half of what I have found out and am still researching.
1. GM is not the reason. 2. I am not selling it. 3. It is the new administration coming in... Yep. http://www.iwastaken.com/forum/right...sites-376.html WE have to protect the kids. ![]() |

Re: Say goodbye to S10forum.com
Just one big problem with all that crap. The gov has tried this before back when the net went public, but realized that there is no possible way to do that, it will never happen. the net is the one place that no matter how hard they try they can't monitor/police the entire net. Took a class in mass media law, teacher told us that this could never happen.

Their just trying to find the scape goat for the worlds problems and the net happens to bet taking this hit. As far as the kids, stop letting them get on till its a must, or let them know what sites they can go to.

This thread reminds me of the really over protective parents. The ones who protect their kids so much, that when they die and the kids have to be on their own they just fail and become homless because they were sheltered from every thing in the world.....thats a long sentence haha

Can we have a national S10Forum funeral, like everybody meets in the middle of the US to share their words of sorrow? Make it in Nebraska and I'm there.

Re: Say goodbye to S10forum.com
This shit goes into the news all the time, I remember when e-mails first came out the post office wanted to tax every e-mail 5 cents. It's not going to happen, you can't censor the entire internet, as stated before. But if you guys like rabble-rousing and taking some speculation and ideas and claiming the the entire world's going to hell, go for it, I think it's pretty funny to watch people bitch about things that haven't happened yet and probably won't. Personally I'll avoid jumping on the dumbass wagon and I'll yell wolf when I see one. |

Re: Say goodbye to S10forum.com
Shity if it happens, I dont see how that would shut down this site though, rather the way I read it would just have it with a rating just like every game. Rating system did not shut down games.
Big brother will have their hand on the internet at some point, its just a matter of when sadly. |

We should have a custom "S10forum translator" that converts all of our English text into hieroglyphics or some other form of text when posted.
So only members with the specific "S10forum translator" will be able to translate and read the threads posted. |

Re: Say goodbye to S10forum.com
they have been trying to regulate the internet since it was made. this is nothing new. trying to get rid of piracy, there is a form of censorship on the internet. try to find a pirated movie on a US website. won't happen. our government has the ability to find the site host and shut it down.
however you will find every movie made online somewhere. mostly overseas. places our government has no control or rights. places where we can't step in and say shut down your site or else. kiddie porn! huge problem! our government has been working years and years to rid the internet of kiddie porn. yet somehow it still exists out there. all overseas hosting sites. again places our government can not go. i see them censoring the internet somewhat like games are. but only those who are willing to have a rating. those sites overseas who do not want to be rated, won't be. /preach |

Re: Say goodbye to S10forum.com
From what I've read, all it says is that they would place movie-style ratings on websites. Big fucl<ing Hooo. They did that with video games and TV shows. Hasn't stopped me from watching and many kids for that matter from watching or playing unless the parents step in and block it. So to me, it sounds like it might help the parents monitor what their 14 yr old is looking at. Hell, give S10forum an R or NC-17 equivalent rating. Won't stop me nor a large majority of people on here .... so what's the fuss? ![]() |
