well.... i sleep on the couch in my livingroom usually while watching tv but lastnight i was playing video games in my other livingroom and i kinda nodded off on the loveseat i have in there... well, sometime during the night i swear i was awake and i remember something kinda brushing my legs and i go to look down and something starts yanking at my legs and i feel something squeezing my neck like its trying to choke me and pull me off the couch. i remember looking around the room and dont see shit except the home menu for my wii on the tv.

when i woke this morning the wii was still on and it was on the home screen and pillows and shit were all in the floor and i was balled up on the couch and my pillow was soaking wet from sweat.

all this was lastnight . . . well, my wife and i were sitting on the couch this evening and something kept banging on the wall behind the couch and she just sent me a message saying she is hearing a woman laughing . . . theres some weird shit going on at my house the last couple days.

just thought id share

I had a similar thing happen to me. I was sleeping in my bed and I guess its called "lucid" dreaming where you are awake and can see what is going on, but still dreaming. Anyways, it felt like something dragged me off my bed. And when I awoke, I was on the floor.

Who knows, you might have a poltergeist in your house.

well have fun with that. . .i live in a house that alot of my friends won't stay over again after they've done it once. . .my house isn't exactly old, but it does make alot of strange noises that tend to freak some people out. . .my brother's ex-wife ran out of the bathroom with her robe on and sat in her car waiting for us to get home one day, because she kept thinking someone was watching her in the shower. . .my 33 year old brother refuses to go in my attic, i don't tend to go up there because my fat ass doesn't trust the ladder, but i've never seen or heard anything there. . .personally, i think alot of homes make noises, and some people let their imaginations get the best of them. . .you sound like you were suffering from night terrors the other night. . .some people feel like they're paralyzed during them, some people feel like they're being choked. . .after tellying your wife what you experienced last night, her imagination might be getting the best of her. . .who knows. . .i was reading a book earlier with the colts game on mute, and all of a sudden the sound came on my tv. . .was it ghosts, or did i accidently bump the remote and just not notice it?. . .doesn't really matter to me, nothing my house has ever done has kept me from sleeping in my own bed at night, so i don't worry about it

hmmm... i had somthing similar happen a few months back, i was laying in bed and it felt like somthing was holding me down and i couldn't move at all, then all the sudden it stoped, i got up and couldn't go back to sleep

that's not exactly lucid dreaming. . .lucid dreaming is where you realize you are dreaming and your conscious mind actually participates in the dream. . .like you're being chased by a zombie, and you think "damn it'd be nice if i had a machete to lop that ****er's head off" and a machete appears in your hand or it conveniently is found after you had the thought. . .

i have lived there almost 4 years and never really hear any noises. im used to the few creeks and squeeks the house has buth the noises today were like beating noises from behind the couch and theres nothing there except sheetrock and bricks on the otherside.

i did see someone walking down the hallway one night about a year ago but i was also high as hell on lortabs too from where i had some teeth work done...lol

but all BS aside, i was scared as **** this morning. i have NEVER had anything like that happen. i was seriously curled up in a ball on my loveseat when i woke this morning

When I go visit my parents in Florida, I usually sleep in the bedroom where my brother died last year. Seems like I have some REALLY vivid dreams when I sleep in there. Doesn't really bother me, though.

lived in and out of this house for 15+ years, it was like this when i lived here when i was in highschool, and it was like this when i started renting from my dad when i moved back to Indy from college. . .my dad is hard of hearing so he says he never noticed it while he lived here. . .my mom always said there was something about it, and sometimes when i get home late at night, my dog is overly happy for me to be there. . .not like happy to see you because you've been gove for 8+ hours and i gotta piss. . .he's happy like thank god you're here, i don't know what the **** was here with me, but that shit aint cool (yeah, my dog talks like that)

wow that's creepy.. When i was dating my wife she lived in a old farmhouse out in the middle of nowhere. It was creepy to me but she was raised in the house and was renting it from her mom at the time. She said she started hearing noises so one night when i was staying over we were laying in bed with the light on and all the sudden we heard the dining room chairs start moving around on the tile floor, then we could hear loud footsteps increasing in sound as it got closer to the door. As soon as the steps were to the door the light shut off. I have never been more scared in my life, i thought we were bout to get chopped up by some psycho killer or something? I dont think i got any sleep that night, but I have slept in the same house many many times after and never heard another thing. it is just really weird.

when i was growing up my grandmother and grandfather lived in the house right beside us, it was built in the late 1800's and was the creepiest ****ing house i have ever been in. my grandparents passed away and dad gave me the house, so me and the wife started remodeling it and everytime i pulled into the driveway it felt like someone was staring out the windows at me. lights and shit would randomly come on, the tv would change channels, we woke one morning and the coffee table was right in the center of the room (about 6 feet from where it normaly was). before we finished remodeling, i finally had a guy come out with a D9 dozer and dig a deep all hole and pushed that bitch over in it and covered it up then bought this house i have now. My wife hated the house, i was always weirded out about it...so we fixed that problem...lol

When me and the Gal lived in my mom's house weird shit was happening a lot. We just kinda got used to it (sorta) I mean, the house was built in the 1910's...and people have been born and died there, God only knows what there was.

There was a spot upstairs, ALWAYS freezing cold, no matter what we did, we put a space heater there, a small one, but still, ice cold.

Any time you were in the bathroom and you looked in the mirror you'd start to get dizzy and you'd hear your heartbeat in your ears.

Misc. Creeks and Foot-step like squeaks, but we had a fat-ass cat, so it was kinda assumed to be him.

Speaking of the cat, he used to sit in the other room (we were going to make it a "guest" bedroom) and stare at the one wall, but this cat's kinda special too...

After a while we kinda adopted a Buddy system, we'd only be upstairs in the other person was there. Then we broke up, but continued to live there, one night she went to stay at her mom's and asked me to stay so the rat and cat wouldn't sqwak all night. I remember coming out of a dead sleep because I heard my mom downstairs cough, and feeling like around 75 pounds was on my chest. I yelled "HEY" and it gradually relieved, like someone was sitting on me and stood up (just a description, not what I think really happened) weirdest part of this story? I was falling asleep about 15 minutes later when my mo called and asked me to let her in, she just got home form work.

Its weird, and at the time it felt unusual, but I wasn't actually scared. I won't go upstairs now, but thats for other reasons...

I started a thread about this about a year ago, when I was living in a creepy house in the middle of nowhere. The only truly weird event was when the kitchen light came on one night with nobody near the switch. I was the first to move in, and I almost didn't sleep inside that house on the first night. Immediately after walking in the front door it felt like "someone" wanted me out. There was one bedroom in particular where that feeling was really powerful. After about a week days, two other friends moved in, and the unwelcome feeling in the house didn't seem as powerful, except for the one bedroom. I kept it to myself for a while, thinking it was my imagination. One day I mentioned it to a friend who didn't live there, and he described exactly what I was feeling. Then more people started saying the same thing. For the month or so that I lived there, only one person slept in that one bedroom, once.

When you "wake up" from a sleep, and you can't move, scream, BUT you are watching the clock tick, watching the leaves on the trees move in the wind, hell even watching the news on the TV you left on...that is sleep paralysis...it happens to me (or used to rather) about 3-4 times a week. It happened a lot when I was working 12 hour days 6 days a week...

sleep paralysis is when you wake from a deep sleep and your mind is rested, but your body isn't. Your body releases chemicals to paralyze your body so that you don't act out your dreams (IE punching your spouse while fighting zombies) During sleep paralysis, those chemicals are still being produced, even though you are essentially awake

The first time this happened to be, I thought it was demons, and was kicking and fighting as hard as I could, cause there was no way in hell they were gonna take me (I was also scared becaue I had been sleeping on the couch that my 12 yo brother died on in 1997)

Talk about scary dreams...one week was hell for me..i had lost all faith in everything..nothing mattered to me..well one night I was dreaming about fighting a demon...all I had was a small knife i held in my mouth as I jumped on the demon (turned out was the devil himself) I kept repeating "the lord HAS my protection" as I proceeded to fight...

just the other night I was dreaming that I was alone in the world with my best friend (nothing sexual. We grew up together and I could count on him with my life)...it turns out that we somehow escaped some kind of nuclear fallout and were the only ones alive (until we found a couple of hot chicks)

anyways we were in a market of sorts when we were gettin surrounded by zombies all around us tryin to get in the doors, windows, etc...our only escape was up to the roof..well these zombies were smart ones, and followed us....we were able to securely live on the roof for a while until we ran out of food (and bird crap wasn't quite appealing) so we kept jumping around onto different roofs, until the zombies caught onto our tactics...my friend and I were in a gated area with one entrance/exit lootin for food, when the zombies made their way in....the last "scene" I remember was getting thrown onto the chainlink, me turning around, seeing like 20+ zombies, and just swinging away with a bloody arm, then FREEZE FRAME.....I smell a sequel LOL

as far as wierd experiences, my house in cali is wierd...my uncle refused to come over because the street freaked him out..same with everybody I talk to...it is a dead end dirt road with NO lights...you walk outside at 3AM to go to work, and its insta watch..all eyes are on you....I used to RUN to my s10...scariest thing was when parked inside the gate, you had to push it open, pull the truck through, then get out and close the gate..i used to start my truck, pull as close to my gate as I could, slide the mofo open, pull my truck through, run and slide the gate closed, then with one motion lock/slam the door shut and haul ass out of there....Yeah Im 23 and scared of nothing hahahaha...funny thing is, Im not the only one that feels it, my neighbor does, and my friends girlfriend that lived 7 or 8 houses down....

I do have an active imagination though..when I was a kid (5 or 6), I hated using the bathroom because there were always "aliens" outside the bathroom window, which was privacy glass, closed and behind a vinyl shower curtain......

lawl i thought i had one of those dreams, i just closed my eyes and i coulda sworn someone grabbed my ankle and yanked as hard as it could then shove me upward as hard as it could... i immediately opened my eyes and looked about nothing, i heard something rattling on my shelf, looked at it looked out the window nothing. said **** it went back to sleep to wake up in the morning and turns out it was an aftershock from an earthquake (insert smiley here cuz mine aint workin) i think the weird stuff going on in old farm houses is just cuz alot of us are used to noise. i remember being in my grandparents farm house (middle of the boonies) and thier sump pumped kicked on, well it was attached to some wood beam that supported th house and when it kicked on it would make this strange what sounded like fast footsteps running up the stairs sound that used to freak the shit outa me....

earlier in the summer i was laying down on my moms bed, because for whatever reason the dog refuses to lay down in my bed, and i wanted a ****in nap. the dog was completely asleep and i was just starting to doze off when i heard a male laugh probably 2 feet from my face. my dog went ****ing crazy. i was the only person home, there wasn't any t.v.'s on in the whole house, and none of the neighbors were outside to make any noises.

i told my mom about it a couple days after it happened. she works for the school system so she doesnt work in the summer time. she said she had heard doors upstairs closing when she was the only person home. i had heard the doors before but didnt think anything of it.

i havent heard anything else since the laugh.

Same here except Ive had a few weird things happen to me.
Stayed at my grannys house a few years back house was built in the 1920's or so. I woke up around 3 in the morning and seen something black coming out of the ceiling and it was choking me. Scared the piss out of me and havent stayed there since.

Visited my other granny in Ohio one year and woke up at like 5 and smelled breakfast cooking and could here pots and pans banging together and stuff frying. Thought granny was cooking but I rolled back over and woke up around 8 went to the kitchen and nothing was touched she got up later on and I asked her about it and she said she hadnt been up and thought i was crazy. Also the 'BASS" knob on my computer speakers on my desktop keeps getting turned way down. When it's way down like that the speakers emit a weird sound. Neither of the other knobs ("TREBLE", "VOLUME") are ever messed with. Been bugging the shit out of me.

I've had only one (more than likely stress induced), and they're typically very lucid - I couldn't see anything (completely dark), and I felt like I was being held by my throat and pinned to the bed by something a lot larger than myself (that's saying something) and something was talking to me in a language I couldn't understand (sounded like the "ring" black speech from Lord of the Rings) for what felt like a half hour-hour.

Still definitely one of my most memorable dreams. Woke up in a cold sweat, with the covers/pillows completely kicked away from me.

User is: OffLine	Re: really weird shit well have fun with that. . .i live in a house that alot of my friends won't stay over again after they've done it once. . .my house isn't exactly old, but it does make alot of strange noises that tend to freak some people out. . .my brother's ex-wife ran out of the bathroom with her robe on and sat in her car waiting for us to get home one day, because she kept thinking someone was watching her in the shower. . .my 33 year old brother refuses to go in my attic, i don't tend to go up there because my fat ass doesn't trust the ladder, but i've never seen or heard anything there. . .personally, i think alot of homes make noises, and some people let their imaginations get the best of them. . .you sound like you were suffering from night terrors the other night. . .some people feel like they're paralyzed during them, some people feel like they're being choked. . .after tellying your wife what you experienced last night, her imagination might be getting the best of her. . .who knows. . .i was reading a book earlier with the colts game on mute, and all of a sudden the sound came on my tv. . .was it ghosts, or did i accidently bump the remote and just not notice it?. . .doesn't really matter to me, nothing my house has ever done has kept me from sleeping in my own bed at night, so i don't worry about it

SC User is: OffLine	Re: really weird shit i have lived there almost 4 years and never really hear any noises. im used to the few creeks and squeeks the house has buth the noises today were like beating noises from behind the couch and theres nothing there except sheetrock and bricks on the otherside. i did see someone walking down the hallway one night about a year ago but i was also high as hell on lortabs too from where i had some teeth work done...lol but all BS aside, i was scared as **** this morning. i have NEVER had anything like that happen. i was seriously curled up in a ball on my loveseat when i woke this morning

User is: OffLine	Re: really weird shit lived in and out of this house for 15+ years, it was like this when i lived here when i was in highschool, and it was like this when i started renting from my dad when i moved back to Indy from college. . .my dad is hard of hearing so he says he never noticed it while he lived here. . .my mom always said there was something about it, and sometimes when i get home late at night, my dog is overly happy for me to be there. . .not like happy to see you because you've been gove for 8+ hours and i gotta piss. . .he's happy like thank god you're here, i don't know what the **** was here with me, but that shit aint cool (yeah, my dog talks like that)

When i was dating my wife she lived in a old farmhouse out in the middle of nowhere. It was creepy to me but she was raised in the house and was renting it from her mom at the time. She said she started hearing noises so one night when i was staying over we were laying in bed with the light on and all the sudden we heard the dining room chairs start moving around on the tile floor, then we could hear loud footsteps increasing in sound as it got closer to the door. As soon as the steps were to the door the light shut off. I have never been more scared in my life, i thought we were bout to get chopped up by some psycho killer or something? I dont think i got any sleep that night, but I have slept in the same house many many times after and never heard another thing. it is just really weird.

SC User is: OffLine	Re: really weird shit when i was growing up my grandmother and grandfather lived in the house right beside us, it was built in the late 1800's and was the creepiest ****ing house i have ever been in. my grandparents passed away and dad gave me the house, so me and the wife started remodeling it and everytime i pulled into the driveway it felt like someone was staring out the windows at me. lights and shit would randomly come on, the tv would change channels, we woke one morning and the coffee table was right in the center of the room (about 6 feet from where it normaly was). before we finished remodeling, i finally had a guy come out with a D9 dozer and dig a deep all hole and pushed that bitch over in it and covered it up then bought this house i have now. My wife hated the house, i was always weirded out about it...so we fixed that problem...lol

We just kinda got used to it (sorta) I mean, the house was built in the 1910's...and people have been born and died there, God only knows what there was. There was a spot upstairs, ALWAYS freezing cold, no matter what we did, we put a space heater there, a small one, but still, ice cold. Any time you were in the bathroom and you looked in the mirror you'd start to get dizzy and you'd hear your heartbeat in your ears. Misc. Creeks and Foot-step like squeaks, but we had a fat-ass cat, so it was kinda assumed to be him. Speaking of the cat, he used to sit in the other room (we were going to make it a "guest" bedroom) and stare at the one wall, but this cat's kinda special too... After a while we kinda adopted a Buddy system, we'd only be upstairs in the other person was there. Then we broke up, but continued to live there, one night she went to stay at her mom's and asked me to stay so the rat and cat wouldn't sqwak all night. I remember coming out of a dead sleep because I heard my mom downstairs cough, and feeling like around 75 pounds was on my chest. I yelled "HEY" and it gradually relieved, like someone was sitting on me and stood up (just a description, not what I think really happened) weirdest part of this story? I was falling asleep about 15 minutes later when my mo called and asked me to let her in, she just got home form work. Its weird, and at the time it felt unusual, but I wasn't actually scared. I won't go upstairs now, but thats for other reasons...

The only truly weird event was when the kitchen light came on one night with nobody near the switch. I was the first to move in, and I almost didn't sleep inside that house on the first night. Immediately after walking in the front door it felt like "someone" wanted me out. There was one bedroom in particular where that feeling was really powerful. After about a week days, two other friends moved in, and the unwelcome feeling in the house didn't seem as powerful, except for the one bedroom. I kept it to myself for a while, thinking it was my imagination. One day I mentioned it to a friend who didn't live there, and he described exactly what I was feeling. Then more people started saying the same thing. For the month or so that I lived there, only one person slept in that one bedroom, once.

It happened a lot when I was working 12 hour days 6 days a week... sleep paralysis is when you wake from a deep sleep and your mind is rested, but your body isn't. Your body releases chemicals to paralyze your body so that you don't act out your dreams (IE punching your spouse while fighting zombies) During sleep paralysis, those chemicals are still being produced, even though you are essentially awake The first time this happened to be, I thought it was demons, and was kicking and fighting as hard as I could, cause there was no way in hell they were gonna take me (I was also scared becaue I had been sleeping on the couch that my 12 yo brother died on in 1997) Talk about scary dreams...one week was hell for me..i had lost all faith in everything..nothing mattered to me..well one night I was dreaming about fighting a demon...all I had was a small knife i held in my mouth as I jumped on the demon (turned out was the devil himself) I kept repeating "the lord HAS my protection" as I proceeded to fight... just the other night I was dreaming that I was alone in the world with my best friend (nothing sexual. We grew up together and I could count on him with my life)...it turns out that we somehow escaped some kind of nuclear fallout and were the only ones alive (until we found a couple of hot chicks) anyways we were in a market of sorts when we were gettin surrounded by zombies all around us tryin to get in the doors, windows, etc...our only escape was up to the roof..well these zombies were smart ones, and followed us....we were able to securely live on the roof for a while until we ran out of food (and bird crap wasn't quite appealing) so we kept jumping around onto different roofs, until the zombies caught onto our tactics...my friend and I were in a gated area with one entrance/exit lootin for food, when the zombies made their way in....the last "scene" I remember was getting thrown onto the chainlink, me turning around, seeing like 20+ zombies, and just swinging away with a bloody arm, then FREEZE FRAME.....I smell a sequel LOL as far as wierd experiences, my house in cali is wierd...my uncle refused to come over because the street freaked him out..same with everybody I talk to...it is a dead end dirt road with NO lights...you walk outside at 3AM to go to work, and its insta watch..all eyes are on you....I used to RUN to my s10...scariest thing was when parked inside the gate, you had to push it open, pull the truck through, then get out and close the gate..i used to start my truck, pull as close to my gate as I could, slide the mofo open, pull my truck through, run and slide the gate closed, then with one motion lock/slam the door shut and haul ass out of there....Yeah Im 23 and scared of nothing hahahaha...funny thing is, Im not the only one that feels it, my neighbor does, and my friends girlfriend that lived 7 or 8 houses down.... I do have an active imagination though..when I was a kid (5 or 6), I hated using the bathroom because there were always "aliens" outside the bathroom window, which was privacy glass, closed and behind a vinyl shower curtain......

Who knows, you might have a poltergeist in your house. lawl i thought i had one of those dreams, i just closed my eyes and i coulda sworn someone grabbed my ankle and yanked as hard as it could then shove me upward as hard as it could... i immediately opened my eyes and looked about nothing, i heard something rattling on my shelf, looked at it looked out the window nothing. said **** it went back to sleep to wake up in the morning and turns out it was an aftershock from an earthquake (insert smiley here cuz mine aint workin) i think the weird stuff going on in old farm houses is just cuz alot of us are used to noise. i remember being in my grandparents farm house (middle of the boonies) and thier sump pumped kicked on, well it was attached to some wood beam that supported th house and when it kicked on it would make this strange what sounded like fast footsteps running up the stairs sound that used to freak the shit outa me....
