R.I.P. Chuck Berry

I know this is a couple days late but rest in peace my friend. Who knows where rock&roll would be right now if it wasn't for him. He was no angel but I hope he's able to duck walk through those pearly gates.

Re: R.I.P. Chuck Berry

Agreed. He was probably the most influential rock guy out there.
Everyone in the business cites him as their hero and teacher.
His guitar riffs have been copied and used by almost everyone playing music.

The younger generation, for the most part, have no appreciation for the people that made rock & roll great and inspired many of the great rock groups. All they know is grunge, hip hop, or rap...nothing that takes any creative talent. I have to go spin some vinyl now...

No one cares.

+1 for the relevant posts. I agree on both parts. Even though he was before my time I remember hearing stuff like Little Queeny and No particular place to go for the first time and being blown away. Then there was My Ding a ling. Hearing that as a kid was a trip. I still laugh when I hear it. lol

Re: R.I.P. Chuck Berry

I guess you can see it that way. If you want to. I didn't make it. My point was that people now a days don't care about much more than themselves.

So why couldn't you just let it go then, instead of reposting it?

You're right.
To be honest. I had a whole paragraph about that picture and the conversation in this thread. I had 2nd thoughts about it because I'm still new here and didn't want to offend anyone. Maybe I needed a 3rd thought. If I did offend anyone, I apologize.
