prayers needed

hey guys me and my wife found out earlier today that her grandfather took a turn for the worse in his battle with cancer and cirrhosis of the liver. he means everything to my wife,he is the man who raised her since her deadbeat dad wasn't around and it is really hurting her. tomorrow we will find out some more info, but as of right now there not giving him very long to live at all,the tests they did in the past few days haven't been good and they are estimating MAYBE 3 weeks. Please keep him and the family in your prayers,we can only hope for the best

Re: prayers needed

Hope he pulls through and doesn't suffer. I lost my grandpa to leukemia and it was hell seeing him like that. I'll be thinkin of him man, I don't pray, but you get the point.

Re: prayers needed

thanks guys. as of right now he is in hospice. he will be there for 4 days, after that he will come home. the family doesn't want him to pass away at the hospital, rather do it at his home. they also put a DNR on him due to the veins in his throat, they are basically varicose veins, and it is possible for him to bleed to death if the try to resuscitate with a tube. shitty to say this but its only a matter of time before he passes, and they would just rather him be somewhat comfortable at home. i'll update again soon guys. thanks for the prayers.

Re: prayers needed

I've lost both an uncle and a grandmother in the past month.

Stay strong for her, and hope everything is comfortable for him.

Thanks.

I wasn't close to my uncle at all, he was a drug addict/family black sheep.

I wasn't terribly close to my grandmother either since she was on the opposite end of the continent from me and I only got to see her a handful of times, but was slightly unexpected and still tough to deal with. She did pass with all of her kids by her side, so at least they got to say their goodbyes and everything beforehand.

well he passed on this morning at about 8:30. his whole family was there, including his 3 kids that he hasn't seen in 10+ years,i guess that's all he was waiting on. sad to see him go but at least he isn't suffering anymore.
