Is that bumper on the jeep factory? It looks way out of place.

Aside from the body, there isn't really a whole lot of factory parts on that thing. I can't remember how many vehicles have donated parts to it, but it's about a dozen or so. My buddy is pretty eccentric, but the vehicle fits him perfectly and he's one hell of an artist!

Re: Post random stuff from cellphone cameras: Part II

a quiet child is up to mischief

got some gauges for the 49, had to verify the part number and it was gooooooood

150 bucks for new gauges with all the senders and parts

I collect old car audio (and even sometimes use it!) and that includes vintage alarms. found one of these NIB after almost 10 year search. He sold the remote separately, but I didnt need it, the old shop I used to work at had 2 replacement remotes in stock, both together was less than 1/3 what remotes sell for online.

Looks odd, the bumper, but from the sounds thats what the guy likes. If he likes it, its perfect to him.

Vette we fixed a few weeks ago. Painted the entire rear end plus the drivers door.

Spent close to 6 hours sanding and buffing to get the clear as flat as the rest of the car.
The texture I was dealing with, had to be super careful on the edges. Fiberglass heats up a lot faster than metal.

3000 grit finish

Compound

Polish on bottom, compound on top. You can kinda see the difference in reflection.

Rippin selfies.

Done and ready to be assembled. Which btw, the people who designed the way these are built can eat a vat of dicks.

Yeah, I know. I'd have put a different bumper on it if it were.

Looks good Jake! Almost everything on those cars is a pain in the ass to work on.

Learning to weld aluminum, so started this for my dad. Few details to finish yet. From designing to installation it was a lot of work, especially for a first timer trying not to f*ck it up!
