Speaking of kids....

COBRAAAAAAA!!!!!!

My son is awesome! Loves his gijoe/cobra ninjas! A buddy in northern bama found these figures at a discount chain, and sent them adressed to my boy he wore his old storm shadow(the white ninja) completely out where he couldn't even stand! My buddy found the identical figure, and two others that look just like him only one is grey, one is red!he already had a few red ones, but still Very cool! Wife sent me the pic while I was at work, made my day!

I was curious about that three trailer deal as I have seen it more than once. What got my attention about his is you know how those car dollys bounce with no weight on them? Well you should have seen the dance this thing was doing. I would say he was in more than about 60% of the time.

Yea, I was thinking about that, but that means he should just slow down. I hate towing those things empty, I did it once and never again.

Re: Post random stuff from cellphone cameras: Part II

I see cars being hauled down I-35 at night all the time, sometimes a caravan of 4 or 5 vehicles, each one towing one, two or even three other cars. If it was illegal they wouldn't be doing it, 'cause they wouldn't risk getting pulled over.

Washed up my cargo trailer, made it last fall.

LED lighting, ramps store under trailer, backup lights, doors remove in seconds without tools and secure to the front of the trailer if I need room for long loads.

nice work on the trailer. What do you haul with it?

part of my sister's yard, view looking off the back porch. Not bad for living in a desert

dwi accident. Semi was in the middle of making a wide right turn when the moron hit the trailer. Driver of the car fled the scene prior to officers arriving, so I'm not exactly sure what injuries he has

Re: Post random stuff from cellphone cameras: Part II

ah, the venerable s10 fuel pump.

Its been sputtery for a couple months, I was waiting to pull the body to put the 49 body on it to replace it. on the bright side got to try out that giant strap I found in the road a couple months ago.

put in some task lighting.

it works amazingly, lights up the whole cooking workspace, but I hate it. Gonna find some eyeball 3" downlight cans to replace it.

I love that your upper cabinets go to the ceiling. For some stupid ass reason I have drop boxes from the ceiling, then the uppers mount under those.

When we redo it, my uppers will be like yours.

View of the Pacific from the mobile office. Not very scenic, but beats my last job's view.

Re: Post random stuff from cellphone cameras: Part II

The trailer pics are hosted on a site of mine, maybe it's a security thing that iPhone won't load a 3rd party image, except from Photobucket or the like.

The trailer started life as a 1984 travel trailer. It rotted over the years and my friend just wanted it gone. I took it and unbolted the body, wrapped a couple of HD transport around it and drove it to the dump. Undid the straps and the machine just grabbed the body and lifted it off the frame, I then towed it home and built a floor and sides and used it as a utility trailer for about 15 years until the floor was rotted.

Then I decided I wanted an enclosed trailer for storing and carrying my line striping equipment. I reworked the frame and and riveted aluminum panels on it.

Love the re purposing of the old travel trailer! I need a mower trailer, I may start looking for a wasted camper.

tsayyote I was in Hong Kong recently (I must not be one of those people that having kids ruined world travel!) and saw where those container ships get loaded. Nice view!

thats the way our kitchen was when we moved in, had the soffit of wasted space above the cabinets. You have to squint, but this is the same direction the other picture was taken before we remodeled.

Re: Post random stuff from cellphone cameras: Part II

lol. I was just asking because we use the same panel forms at my work (precast) and it has to be water tight. We have to seal the areas where the wall tie is because they leak. Buddy of mine bought a new home about 3 years ago and whoever did the basement didn't find it necessary to coat the exterior before back fill and his walls leak now.

Re: Post random stuff from cellphone cameras: Part II

Uh oh... thrust bearing in my turbo is shot already. This caused forward and back play in the shaft and the compressor wheel was rubbing on the front housing. .013" did this.

Can kind of see the grooves on the blades.

For anyone that may not know how a turbo works. A single shaft connects both sides. Exhaust travels through the turbine housing to spin the turbine wheel at very high RPM (100,000+) and the aluminum compressor wheels sucks in the air and slings it out through the blades to the engine.

A very large V Band clamp on part of our test equipment at work.

I went to Duluth for an airshow on Saturday. It turned out to be a waste of time and a 2 hour drive because it was all cloudy and foggy up there. Nothing was able to fly. THey needed at least 1,000ft cloud ceiling and the highest it got to all day was 400ft. Missed the blue Angels

Got to see lots of stuff on the ground though, like this B25 bomber.

The coast guard did a short demo of them dropping a guy to the ground for a rescue mission and them picking up him and the survivor.

If I could get paid to do this every day instead of twice a week, that would be the life.

I never knew how insanely busy port terminals get. I've never heard so many truck horns from the drivers. I sat in the parking lot on our 3 hour lunch waiting for our next switch move in the rail yard and it took a couple hours to get these guys through.

In the same parking lot was this. Is it a VW?
