Bar was twisted almost 45*, it ripped the shocks right out of the frame





cut off the bag plate, cleaned it up and reused it





$15 in bushings and $10 in grinding wheels later

I just got this Viair 380c used, but I don't think even a rebuild kit is going to save this one...





From what I have been able to find in order to buy everything that this comp needs to get it working properly again it would cost $211.50 +shipping... which is well over the cost of a brand new one. Oh well, maybe I can use it to prop my garage door open or something.

Yeah it sucks but stuff happens. Believe it or not I was actually able to clean it up enough to get it to function but the bearings are completely shot. Not to mention the carbon brushes are wore down to nubs and the cylinder wall has deep scoring.

So i walk out of a store that i serviced and i see this......

so i looked around the parking lot while waiting for police, maybe the vehicle that hit me parked elsewhere..... well while doing the police report this older lady in her 60s comes by and says if this just happened. i say yes and she told me she saw a guy in an orange car with a cowboy hat that appeared to be mad at something and pushed a shopping cart as hard as he could into my truck and/or general direction. i saw the said cart a few spots away....yup. this did it.


so here is the thing. parked in the area that had no cameras and the guy who did it parked in the same area.

BUT with his cowboy hat not being common and this a small grocery store, they can review the tapes and find the cowboy hat within the hour time span i was in the store, and if he paid with a credit card (which i hope he did) his ass is mine.

got home and tried to push it out.


now it looks like a door ding...which i can live with...but i am thinking about bed-lining the bottom half of the truck....still up for debate. opinions?


after this me and a few buddies when wheeling. major stress reliever.

I'd spray line them! I'm doing it to mine, I've beat the hell out of my line-x, and if I can spray the rockers and get the same durability, damn right I'd do it! I want to go for color match.

I went with the safety for one I want extra safety with the little ones around and two with this gun it only takes a few sec and you can remove it and run the gun with out. If you get the gun with out it and want to install one down the road it will cost more. It's really a supper nice safety and not hard to flip at all. I am a glock fan and this is the first gun with a safety and i like it for a everyday carry.

I like no safety, but I'd never buy a gun with out one. For my safety and others. I live in the sticks, I hear EVERYTHING coming to my house...because if you are there I've invited you or I know what you drive, if you aren't I can tell right away and get the safety off anything I own. Besides that, the dog is first warning lol The beware of owner sign is two, you enter my property unannounced and don't ID yourself that's three. You get two verbals, WA law says on three I can defend my property...but seriously...I like safety's, they are good lol I have a 6 year old sis, that comes over. I lock my guns up, but if I was ever that stupid...I want the extra on it.

yeah I feel the same way. I know about rocks and chips and all that especially on 4x4 trucks that actually go to trails, but it just looks kind of half assed. just my opinion, and probably a bad one at that.

the way beandip uses that truck id Rhino Line the Rockers it may be a Pita to get off if u ever want to. but it will be much more difficult to damage the rockers if it is

you can still damage them, and unless you do the inside too it will still rust, the only benefit is it doesnt scratch like paint... but in MY opinion looks way uglier than a couple little scratches...

i understand, i sorta feel the same way...but it does provide a functional purpose. not like my truck is a mall crawler and get it done for "looks". though i dont "beat" on my trucks either. the Z i "use" its capabilities. when we go mudding you wont see me doing a doughnut. unless the throttle required is really low like normal driving or a tad higher.

i do want to repaint, and i will probably attempt this myself since my buddy has a gun and paints, so i can learn etc but i'd hate to paint then just destroy it going out into the trails. though i dont think mud caused these rock chips, i say gravel roads.

fresh wash today/flushed frame. pic of said damage. may just roll with it for a while until i get my plans together. maybe plastic dip? not sure how that will hold up

not concerned about rust being we dont see any salt. that and i have a good habit of flushing the panels out to keep dirt buildup down. mostly i just want to prevent visible "dings"



ok, so some of you guys might remember when i bought my ingersoll rand compressor i polished the copper hardline from the compressor for shits n giggles.


well after using it a few cycles the copper turned purple, very deep purple. this was a surprise to me.


but after all this time, it has turned into a "chrome" finish.
