i've had mine done for about 5 years. i have 9 piercings and the nipples were by far the worst. didn't hurt too bad getting them done, but it did hurt pretty bad for a few weeks after. i've had one of mine ripped 3 or 4 times by my dogs on accident. be careful if you use threaded hoops. one of mine still had a piece of metal shaving wrapped around the threads and it ripped all the way through my nipple when i took it out. i'll never use the threaded ones again.

if you do it, go both. i have mine done. there was a crowd of about 15 people i know and a few i didn't watching so i had to act like it didn't hurt.

truth be told, the first one isn't that bad. the problem is, your body burns up all the endorphins and adrenaline on the first and the second is a bitch. and then he puts the rings in. its not the worst thing ever, but it sucked.

took about 3 months to heal up. for the first few weeks, i used a bandaid on the ring to hold them down so the rings weren't angled out at all.

as most have said, they're a conversation piece. i show people when they ask about them or when it comes up and they think of me totally differently. you'd think the 5/8" holes in my ears might give it a way, but i'm well educated and have a pretty good job, so it always throws people off.
