Most of the new rap sucks dick. Don't get me wrong; I only listen to rap/hip-hop but there isn't shit out right now. Anything by Weezy or The Game is dope.

Use to listen to rap back in the early 90's, since then I only listened to the old school rap from those years. Raekwon back in the 90's came out with the album only built for cuban linx. Was an amazing album. I was browsing itune about a week ago and Raekwon released only built for cuban linx pt 2 in the middle of september. I downloaded it and it brought back a lot of memories of an old school style I havent heard since back in the day. I recommend it. The whole album was worth it. Can't go wrong with Wu-tang love...

the ladies dont like metal much, I feel ya. I do have a bunch of old rap on my pod. Redman, Dare iz a Darkside is a dope album. Some ladies like RATM, nice mix of rap/metal, probably my favorite band, get the Evil Empire album if you dont have it, Without a Face hits pretty hard.

I don't know what you're smoking. The Clipse have probably the best mixtapes out and their albums are some of the highest rated in hip hop/rap. I know the Neptunes beats sometimes have to grow on people but those albums are FAR FAR FAR from garbage. Their new album Til' The Casket Drops comes out in November.

I will recommend Jay Z's new album.

Anything by Curren$y is pretty entertaining. He has a slew of mixtapes and an album called "This Ain't No Mixtape."

Wale is a up and coming rapper who has some great mixtapes and an album coming out early November.

Also check out J. Cole. He's featured on Jay Z's album. Probably one of the best lyricists I've heard in a while. His mixtapes are called The Come Up and The Warm Up. You can download his newest from his website http://www.jcolemusic.com/

garbage was the wrong word, its just that IMO their mixes are a lot better than their actual CDs especially since its been a while since they released one. That being said I'm eagerly awaiting the casket drop to "drop"

I think most of the people that don't like their albums just don't like the production. That being said, you may like their new cd better. They are working with other producers this time not exclusively the Neptunes.

You are quite right though. They go in on all those beats on the mixtapes even better than the original artists did. After hearing their versions I don't even want to hear the original ones anymore haha.
