Re: Most Ridiculous finds on Craigslist volume II

The ZR1 lights and the 80's style crap on the "ground effects" killed it. That and every asshole calls it a bathtub. Wish I still had the MS paint version of the wildside I did. All the crap where it flairs back out on the bottom was gone and newer body style ram tail lights fit the compound curves perfect.

This girl bought it. You can see all the bandwagon hate

Re: Most Ridiculous finds on Craigslist volume II

This right here! We had an 88 wagon in 92 and it wasn't in this good of shape

http://ottumwa.craigslist.org/cto/5443815099.html

1989 Z24 Cavalier convertible only 45,584 original miles very well maintained $6,200.00 or best offer.
Runs and looks excellent always kept inside and covered up when not being drove.
Mainly drove in Ottumwa parades and surrounding towns parades and to few car shows.

The Beretta was actually only manufactured to last 15 years, then decompose back into the earth.

Or at least all of them around here have done that. I just saw an ad for one, I'll post it up, YARF! But I had 3 of them, I loved them, but I also loved that 87-89 Z24 Cavi so much too.

The GTU's had V6's with a bunch of other goodies and was available with the 5 speed. Pretty sure they stickered for more than the same year IROC-Z's. I would have said a GTZ but they didn't come along until 90, they had the quad 4 HO's. The Olds was quad 4 HO/5speed though. They're some badass underrated little motors for their time.

Also, I'd drive the shit out of that dually.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's fond of the early 90's GM fwd cars. Cavys, Berettas, luminas, etc. I love how they were all cheaply made, and had delicate plastic but seem to never die. Older 2.8/3.1 seem to last forever and take some hard abuse.

Never been one for american cars, but I had a friend many years ago that had a Beretta, did like the look of it, until you got inside, it was like the Stay-Puft marshmellow man had exploded all over the controls (aka too rounded for my tastes)

I used to have a 96 Beretta Z26. The 3.1 started knocking and the transmission went out shortly after I got it. (I believe it may have had some help). the seats were the same as the ones in the Indy car above, and they ended up in my old Dodge Dakota.

Re: Most Ridiculous finds on Craigslist volume II

The variant I didn't have that I wanted was a plain ol' GT but it had the digital dash. To this day I want a digital dash so bad! I grew up on Knight Rider, and the friend that had the car with the digital dash made my jealousy skyrocket, his was even black!

That must be one of the very rare Ford S10s, I think they only made very few of them.

Q: How many people can you fit in one Honda?
A: Well, the Bible said that all 12 disciples were in one Accord.

Re: Most Ridiculous finds on Craigslist volume II

i have owned 2 of them and they both had the 4.3. when i would go to the parts store they would always ask 4 or 6 cylinder. i dont think i ever asked what size the 4 cylinder was but a quick search of the internetz shows from 85-90 it was available with the 2.5 as a base model.

Hmm. I've never had an asstro nor can I recall being under the hood of one. I for some reason thought they all had v6's. Anyhoo...back to the hideous nature of the abomination I posted...

I've only seen the dukes in the stripper cargo Astros as Safaris.
