Actually it's worth about $275 for scrap metal. That's what I got out of my 86 regular cab when I scrapped it several years ago.

Re: Most Ridiculous finds on Craigslist volume II
I'd say this is a screamin' deal for anyone with the money:
2009 6.0 LY6 w/ 4L80E Trans - $5000 (Beaverton) Date: 2012-04-16, 5:52PM PDT Like the title says, up for sale is a 2009 GM 6.0 LY6 complete engine and 4L80E transmission. This combo is virtually new. It was pulled from a brand new truck with less than 10 miles on it and the truck was converted to electric for airport use. The 6.0 has the variable valve timing and the returnless fuel system. It has Transdapt motor mount adapters to go into a later GM vehicle as well as the correctly machined trans yoke. It comes with a $1250 Painless wiring harness kit part number 60526, Engine control module, Trans Control module, and throttle pedal for the fly-by-wire. This is COMPLETE, I can even provide exhaust with O2 sensor bungs. (may need to modify) All that is needed is to dump it into the hole, add a fuel system (pump and plumbling) program the ECU and light it off. These engines make serious HP and Torque. Badass for your Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, pickup, S10 or chose your fave old chev. 503-849-7820 my name is Mike and Thanks for looking! ![]() |

Chevrolet Cavalier Selling My Kid's Car (Between Grand Haven and North Muskegon)
Date: 2012-04-26, 6:57PM EDT Reply to: 4chg6-2981305084@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] I'm selling my kid's car because I'm tired of waiting for her to do it. We've been paying storage car insurance WAY too long, and I want it gone! I'll sell it as is whole or bit by bit. I really don't care. I just know that we don't have a flatbed to take this to the dump to see what they'll give us for it. Tires are the best part of it. I know this because I bought them new for her as a Christmas gift, about three months before she stopped driving the thing because of some belt problem or whatever. Therefore, the tires are 205/40r17 which, at cheapest that I could care to find online were $51 a piece. I'll sell them for $40 a piece. Merry Christmas, kid. She says that it has a sound system out of this world. In fact, it encompasses the whole trunk of her car. There are huge woofers and other stuff so that she could irritate any neighborhood if she had wanted to (she better not have). The car has a "quieter" muffler; however, since the car has sat through one and a half full winters, I'm pretty sure there will be a hole in it soon. But email me an offer for any of that stuff. The car was fast. It also looked beautiful before she skated across a country road and ended up in the wire fencing of a cemetery (I guess I know why they put up the fencing there in the first place now). The photos tell it all. It was "shaved" --- a term no one my age should care to know, but as you can see, the area where the door handles used to be is now visible. Oh yes. The doors. Well, she used to be able to get in with only the remote -- since the car had been "shaved". Then the remote stopped working, so she became a master at using a coat hanger to pull up the door handle on the inside. This car is an automatic. It's around a 2000 or 2001 (let me know if you know). Mileage is a BIG question because whoever modified this thing replaced an engine or whatever, and the odometer has never worked well. I would guess it's in the 250K range for the entire car's age, and in the 200K for the new engine. That's my best guess. Also, no VIN number. I had a mechanic looking it over six months before she quit driving it, and he thought he could get the remote to operate. He suggested putting regular springs on it, instead of the cut ones which give it a 10 in clearance from the ground! Also, besides needing some ball joint and some tie rod replaced, the mechanic said he felt it actually was a pretty good vehicle. Well, if you are looking for parts, email me and make me an offer. If you are a good fixer upper, you may just have a cool vehicle when you're done. Just email me an offer for the car as a whole then. I don't care. I just want it out of the driveway and far, far away. I'll use the proceeds to pay the last insurance charge on it and maybe get a Quarter Pounder with the change. Seriously, though, if you are interested in contacting me with more accurate information on this vehicle or to make an offer, please put in the subject line: "The Kid's Chevy Cavalier". That way I know that you are not one of the marketing places trying to waste my time. - from the Exhausted Mother (p.s. I have ten more photos of the car which I'll email to you if you request) ![]() ![]() ![]()
