I don't agree with that at all; if you didn't catch his all-access you might want to; the guy definitely has a gastank on him. Randy's pace has never really been balls-to-the-wall like others (Wandy, Fedor, etc) - I do think it ends early though. The one thing I do like is Randy's attitude toward the fight - he's not taking anything for granted and not fooling himself on certain fronts. I do hope he comes with a great gameplan and we see one hell of a fight.

Re: MMA Thread

I used to kickbox a bit. And was starting to get into MMA a lil, until I had a few wrecks on my bike. lol. So, trying to get my body back into shape and finding a place up here. Matt Hughes and Robbie Lawler has a place up here that isn't to far from me in Granite City. And I have started to notice signs on light poles with a phone number for mma training in the Belleville area. Haven't checked it out yet.

Re: MMA Thread

Ed Herman seemed like a zombie. I thought he would bring a lil more than he did. Guess those tree trunk legs that he was getting hit by took it out of him.

I was hoping to See Alexander take that fight also. He has got some BIG work to do on his ground game.

Guida is a fvcking buzzsaw man. haha.

Jason Guida... Clay Guida's older brother. I never understood why people don't come in on weight or 5 pounds over for a show like this.

Also, where the fvck is this "next Anderson Silva" we've been hearing about?

i thought herman got robbed.
-shrugs
diaz is sharp.
i didn't catch tuf but i tivo'd it.
i never fought but i trained in bjj for a few months then stopped because i wasn't dedicated enough and got my ass beat every day by purple and brown belts.
mac danzig is tough but guida is seemingly more tough.

That's what happens when you start rolling...

Why the hell were you, as a white belt, rolling extensively with purple and brown belts?

Houston Should Have Planted That Dude With His Knee Thats His Takedown Defence. Plus He Was Gasping For Breath After That Furry Needs Less Wieght Training More Cardio. Guida Is Fun To Watch But He Needs To Work On His Bjj Or Penn Gsp They Will Eat Him Up.

i was the only new person there, and everyone else there was like at least a blue belt on up. the instructor was a purple, and his "helper" was a brown belt. i guess that place blew up now and it's huge in my area. i got in when they still rolled in a corner at gold's gym; they have their own building now and everything. website:

Wait... Your instructor was a Purple but his "helper" was a Brown belt? It should be the other way around.

Plus, you only get better by rolling with people who are better than you.

the helper dude was a guest for the week. danny ives i think his name was. he was a brown belt. he's not a normal instructor there. but yeah.. i give tons of props to the people who can stick it out. with school and work, i just didn't have the dedication to train those three days a week. i give you the utmost respect in the world for stickin this shit out; its not made for just anyone.

What do you guys think about the Leben vs. Bisping fight?

I like Leben even though he hasn't always been sharpest in the ring, he just seems like he has a helluva hand and a ****in chin.

I think Bisping will dominate like he has the whole time.

personally i think leben is overrated. . .i've heard he's improved his overall game, but everytime i see him fight he's like a mini version of tank abbot just throwing wild ass punches everywhere. . .i think bisping will handle him pretty easily. . .

As colorful and likeable as Leben is, he doesn't have any business getting into the cage with Bisping; going to be one hell of a lopsided fight.

Agreed. I'd never thought I'd see Leben on the maincard of a UFC PPV fight to be honest. I think he'll get rocked but I always love to see an upset. Leben isn't dumb enough to take Bisping lightly, so we'll see how he looks, he better train is ass off.

im rooting for leben. he went to school with a couple buddies of mine and i ran into him at hooters once. hes a local boy and is entertaining to watch. i agree that bisping will probably take this one but i really want leben to win.

Jd that gym is sick.
i was with impact jiu jitsu but havent been back since summer started. i found a place a little closer that i want to go check out. i miss it, its addicting to me. so far ive only trained in grappling but really want to get into some striking eventually. i just do it for fun, dont plan on doing much with it competition wise.
