Re: Mini Truck Boat?

Wow, is it really that hard to believe that someone made a boat look like a truck? It probably wouldn't be all that hard if you knew what you were doing.

And just for the record, I think it's pretty damned cool looking. But i'd still rather have a big ass pontoon boat.

Re: Mini Truck Boat?

/\ No kidding. I'm pretty sure it's real.

I've seen car/boats before.

Minitruckers have made MUCH more rediculous things when bored/drunk.

Only time before the two got put together.
Probably a small boat with a body mounted over it, maybe wheels painted on.

yes, because that doesnt look like a boat at all from that pic. if it is real it took an incredible amount of fiberglass work, gelcoat, etc.... It doesnt look like they simply took an existing boat and painted it.....that looks to be a one-off thing with a ton of work put into it.

Im with you though....for as cool as it is i'd still rather have something like this:

It would be an ass-load of work, but say for someone that builds boats for a living it probably wouldn't be that hard.

Re: Mini Truck Boat?

I assume something similar to this. A boat with body panels attached. Not sure how low it would sit at a slow cruise, the only pics of this one don't show it floating...

You posting pictures of random amphibian vehicles doesn't mean it is real either.

That's what I envisioned, a boat with the truck's body panels attached to it.

Re: Mini Truck Boat?

Damnit! I got beat to the water car camaro. I think that is the best attempt (or success) of an amphibious car, and if someone did that to a minitruck then they are my new hero! Hopefully that mini will be at West Coast Nats cruisin around. Ill be sure to get plenty of pics.

Also, I think it could be real, because look at the people on the boats... They are all staring like wtf?? That would be the first clue, or the wake behind it...

that thing is freakin sweet i just dont like how its a dodge truck front end and corvette rear on it. it does have a corvette engine which is freakin sweet. the website says it has 60+ mph water speeds and mid 12 second quater mile times, 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds.

I just saw this somewhere, I can't remember where, but I do remember that its an all fiberglass hull with any choice of corvette engine. Something along the lines of a 115k dollar price tag....if i find the info i'll post it.
