Is there anyone else running 3.0 iv got it jailbroken and unlocked I'm just having problems with a few apps. But overall it seems pretty stable and I seem to get better service. The 2g phone will not have the mms feature apple says it's a hardware issue but I'm saying bullshit bc of swirly mms

The apps problem could be because 3.0 is still in beta. I would downgrade and wait until 3.0 is done.

haha, me neither. ive seen bits of info about the new firmware but havent fully looked into it. MMS and landscape texts is what im most looking forward to. I hope they dont charge extra for pic messaging, that would be just dumb.

After having seen the old iPhone. It looks so ugly. No offense to anyone who has one. It just looks so retro LoL. I love my 3G. I'll probably want the new version whenever it's released, because I'm sure it'll do more that this one can't. Which sucks since I just got this one a few months ago.

Well this really sucks. i went to bed last night with my phone in my pocket and when i woke up my phone was off. When i turn it on it just gives me a cartoon picture of Steve jobs. I plugged it into the computer and itunes says that its in recovery mode and needs to be restored, fine. So ive been trying to restore it and it just keeps getting stuck in the beginning and getting no where.

i really hope its not dead because im pretty sure the cartoon picture shows up because of the jailbreak, so i wouldnt be able to bring it to the Apple store.

Thanks Sgtm. Thats basically the info ive been finding too. Ive tried so many different things now and ive gotten no where. When i restore it, it only gets through the first step and then just freezes. It shows the apple logo with the progress bar and everytime it gets to the end it stops.

Well, I now own two iphones. had to downgrade to the 8gb too to save some money on the "early upgrade" since its before the 2 years. $400 later...

But, after spending some time on ebay, checked out completed listings and what not. it should be pretty easy to get more than $300 from my bricked phone.

I'm all over that 32gb for $299 when it comes out. I had been wanting to get the white 16gb because my 8 has been full of music for a while aready. I'll just keep mine for a backup phone. I would go return it Cory, i believe you have 30 days to do so. See what they'll tell you.

It's always been that way. In order to get the phone at the lower price you always had to renew your contract. Nothing new there right? The 8gb 3g was $199 when i renewed my contract and now if someone wants it and renew's or starts a new contract it's only $99. It's simple man.

i went back to the ATT store today to finally buy a case for my phone, something i never had. (i got an ifrogz btw, it awesome) I asked about the 3GS and the upgrade options with it. The guy said that it will only be offered at the low price if you are eligible for the upgrade. people who bought a 3G last year will not be eligible since their 2 years are not up yet. i think the prices to buy a new phone if you are not eligible is $600 and 700. there will not be an "early upgrade" option for these phones like I got on my replacement 3G today.

If you guys that have used up all the gb on your phone with music I found an app you might be interested in. Its called Simpify Media. You can stream music off of your comp, as long as you leave it on. You can also get other peoples names and passwords and stream their music too.l

Is there a way to use the iphone with other carriers except AT&T without jailbreaking it? I travel overseas sometimes and would like to pop other sim cards in to work on the iphone.

T Mobile and AT&T are the only US Carriers that it can be used with that I know of.
