You can't just double click on it and open it to edit. That will try to run the script. You'll have to open notepad, drag the file into it, and then you can edit the script. I would suggest making a copy of the original file first.

Got it. How do I make a copy of the original first? And when I want to put the new file on my phone, do I just save the file as a different name and replace that with the old file on my phone (if that makes sense)?

Right click, copy. Right click, paste. You'll have another file that's a copy of the original file. Edit the original file like in the instructions, and put it on your phone. But in case you mess something up, you have a copy of the original (without any modifications) to go back to.

I need help somebody please....I bought a 8gig iPod from a friend of my wife. I wanted to add the pandora radio app. I downloaded it to my iTunes library on the PC, but when i hook the iPod up to my PC and the iPod syncs, it doesn't sync any of the apps.

Is there something else I need to do, am I missing something?

When you plug the ipod in, you'll see it listed on the left. Click on it, and then you'll see tabs across the right. Go to the apps tab and see if it's set to sync apps.

ok, I open ITunes, plug the ipod in and it is listed under devices. If I clink on the ipod, under devices a screen opens up with 8 tabs, that say the following:
Summary
music
movies
TV shows
Podcasts
itunesU
Photos
INFO

no apps tab there
I just tried it again, I dl'd the Pandora App, plugged in the iPod, and it didnt sync the app.

Do you have wireless? Can you get pandora from the app store on the iPod? Maybe try a restore, see if that helps.

ok, I got it guys, I realized I was still on like version 1.5.1 firmware, so I bought the latest firmware and restored everything and now all is well. Thanks for the help

Doesn't worry me at all since it only happened to Dutch T-mobile users. Could it happen here? Sure, but its no different then someone hacking my comp, ps3, etc. If someone wants to do it and there is a way they are gonna do it. So why worry about it.

You should restore it. that way when they take it back you wont have to worry about making sure that they do it for you.

i have a question for u guys, i have been syncing with my home pc since i have had my phone, and i just got a laptop and i want all my shit to be on the laptop so i can just sync with it, how do i go about doing that? i want my music and pics and apps and all that r on my itunes on my pc to be on my laptop.

well i upgraded to 3.1.2 today and i jailbroke with blackrain and i havent used it yet but i will later im syncing right now. i was gonna take it in today to apple so i restored and unsynced everything well got going to nashville and noticed it said Steve-o and not ATT well i wasnt about to stroll in there and trade it in with it like that they would know in a heart beat lol.

Lol yeah, that sucks about some of the mods - they stick there unless you actually undo it through the app before you restore.

Marcus - i think the only thing you need to move onto your new computer is the music. your apps and settings should all download to the computer when you go to sync it the first time.

Hey guys, Quick question for you all.

I'm going to be buying a phone this week from a personal friend, said he forgot the 4 digit passcode to the phone, and he is no longer using it. he said if i can figure it out i can get it for 225, which isn't bad to me considering its a 16gb 3g iphone.

Is there a way to actually get into the phone so i can remove this passcode? maybe restore it or jailbreak it ? or what can i do?

please help me out here guys, if it cant be done let me know, ill pass it up

I would think that a restore would do it since it would erase everything from the phone and no longer really have a reason to need a passcode. but then again, it might keep the passcode still to keep a "robber" from using a stolen one.

SO i guess i dont know.
