*iOfficial* iPhone and iPod touch thread

We've had plenty of threads about them and it seems like there are a lot of us who own them on here so I decided it is time to make a thread.

*No flaming/hating. If you dont like like Apple or it's products, good for you.

To start off this thread... check out what i found on Cydia today:

This is the slam speciaties battery, there is also the minit ruck slider package and a minitruck theme with a sweet background. Search "minitruck"

Then this is just my current theme.

Share your stuff or ask questions.

yeah, going back to stock is as easy as hitting restore in itunes. There's not a lot to worry about with jailbreaking your phone anymore. it's for the most part, fool proof.

re: *iOfficial* iPhone and iPod touch thread

I do not think so. it depends on how deep you get into it and modifying it, but just installing other 3rd party applications wont leave anything permanent.

I had a problem once with my 1st iphone after i jail broke it, the problem was not related to being jailbroken. what happened was my battery died and when i recharged it the phone had a message saying that it could not make or recieve calls. So i restored it and did a bunch of differnt things to try to fix it but i couldnt. Then i brought it to the apple store and the guy took one look at it and swapped it out for a new one.

re: *iOfficial* iPhone and iPod touch thread

I like the shazam app, where you can have it listen to a song if you don't know the artist or title, and it tells you.. (I remember seeing that on a verizon commercial, it was like exclusive to them a few years ago) I always thought it was bad ass. Works really well.

Also, a friend of mine listens to Arabic music, and he said it works for Arabic songs also lol

I'll have to check out that mini truck theme. I like the slider. Shazam is a pretty cool app. I've used it a time or three.

I know last week, or something like that, they had a beta version of the 2nd gen iTouch. I haven't read anything else, but I'm sure it will be soon.

that theme looks pretty cool. too bad the dont have a second gen dime theme. i jailbroke mine right out of the box on christmas morning, installed cydia and installer, boss prefs, bite sms and winterboard. those are really the only things ive seen worth d/l at the time. i also installed the famous stars and straps theme on mine.

re: *iOfficial* iPhone and iPod touch thread

2nd gen touch here too...

and last i read they have the 2nd gen jailbroken, but only in tethered form, which would require you to have the unit plugged into the computer every time you booted....which mine doesn't ever get cut off, unless an app has froze on it, and i can't get out....

but yea, i love my touch....

Cory - where did you get that airbag battery and slider? If you made it yourself can you send it to me? I want the airbag battery and then make my truck dragging across the slider.

**Nevermind - Reading owns me, lol

cory - i have only tried the dynolicious once. it was in the sport trac. it was pretty off lol..

sport trac with a tuner... said it had 489 hp.. lollll but in its defense we didnt do a full 1/4 mile run so it didnt get to run the full test like it should have.

i want to try it in my blazer.

The 2nd gen iTouch jailbreak has not been fully released. I'm thinking it will be soon though. Without jailbreaking the iPhone or iTouch, you really can't "mod" a lot of things.

I discovered how to get any app from the app store free through cydia today. I just got sim city and dynolicious from it.

Add this source in cydia and then install Instalous.

Alright, I'm thinking of picking up an iTouch. What are the main things that go wrong with it? Major issues? Granted I'm not a big fan of Mac to begin with. But I'd be getting it for the wifi.

re: *iOfficial* iPhone and iPod touch thread

i have a 1g 16gb touch and a 2g 8gb iphone. both jailbroken.

Dynolicous works mint, but you need to run calibration on your phone, and you need to have it mounted somewhere. you cant just let it flop around. I have a belkin FM transmitter for my stereo, plugs into the cigarette lighter and the ipod sits in it. I made a few passes with my fathers 4runner and the numbers weer pretty acurate to me.. Measured 189bhp and a max speed of 59.8 mph. I didnt go a full 1/4 mile, but i do know i was looking at the speedo when i let off, and it read 60. so .2mph off is pretty accurate in my book.

I got that slam bag battery and the truck slider on mine, My boy drew's friend made em. From what drew was sayin hell make whatever you want for like a $5 donation or some shit. Ill have to see if he can get me some info on how to contact him or whatever.. Theres also a bagged lincoln slider which is pretty cool.
