Well i just started back 3 weeks ago. We will see if my surgery and higher testosterone levels help out. So far it seems like it has.
I will post before and after pics at the 3 month mark. So far here is my diet: Breakfast: Good high fiber cereal Snack: small protein bar Lunch: 1 cup ( already cooked white Rice) 4-8oz of lean meat depending on what meet ( this week of the 25th of june) i am eating steak roughly 7oz a day 1 cup steamed brocolli Animal Pak Snack: 2 cups of fresh fruit Pre workout: Protein bar Simple sugars/carbs Animal Stack2 Dinner within 2 hours of working out Protein, and lots of carbs. I have gone from 135 to 142 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks. I am gaining muscle mass and strength almost 3 times faster then this time last year. |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else?
Nice work dude. I've just picked up working out again recently since it's warm enough to get in the pool. I'm working on my guido tan as well. Dan (WhiteNoma) has been hitting the gym like a madman as well. I really wish our weight loss club on here would've worked out. Last edited by Imperial : 06-27-2007 at 04:23 PM. |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
nope i change weekly....lol
and remember for that period of time i was working out i had a lower then avg. testosterone level. but now that i had my surgery it's going up month to month. the 10th of july will be 3 months which i should start to see a difference in test lvls. i do need to go to the tanning bed if i start to take my 3 month pics. i am white as a sheet right now. But another cool thing. i haven't lifted for a year almost and i am already close to my strength in lifting! so i can't wait to see what 3 months does to me! |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
Eat more whole foods.
Protein bars are eh. I usually try to eat every couple of hours, with at least 500kcal, with varying protein amounts. Food is where it's at. Also, no need to work out for a full 2 hours. If you want to gain weight, focus on compound exercises 3 times a week. Less reps, more weight. |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
yep my whole routine is all compound exercises. and my sacks are basically to keep me from eating more. i get roughly 3-4000 cals a day i don't need anymore. i am gaining better then i did before so i should be good on food untill i need to go up more after 3 months.
as far as surgery i had a vericoiel removal. basically a BIG varicose vein in my left sack on the veins to that nut. it let blood build up and raise the temp of my balls causing lower test levels, and pain! 70% of men have it but in varied degrees. The surgeon that did mine has been doing this for 20+ years and i had the biggest veins he had ever seen! some were up to 4mm wide! but i am good now! supplements just the animal pak and animal stack2. basically multi vitamins, and a small vasodialator with a test booster. So far it works good i take the pak at lunch, and the Stack 30min before working out with some carbs and protein. |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
Here is my workout routine for the 3 months: the weight on the left is what i was doing, and the right is what i should be doing.
![]() 2. French Press: Place your hands on a barbell, about two hand-widths apart. Raise the bar above your head, then lower it behind your neck. Be sure to keep your upper arms close to the sides of your head. Only your elbows bent. From the lowered position, press the weight overhead by moving your forearms until your elbows are locked. 3. Incline Curl: With a dumbbell in each hand lean back on an incline bench. Let the weights extend the arms to a natural hanging position. From there, curl the weight to your shoulders. Return to the original position and repeat. 8. Dumbbell Circle: The barbells are simultaneously rotated in vertical circles in front of the body, with the wrists turned up at the bottom of the outward arc and turned down on the inner arc. 9. Reverse Curl: Take a shoulder-width grip on a barbell. Stand erect, with your arms hanging down at your sides and the barbell resting across your upper thighs. Press the forearms in against the sides of your rib cage. Without allowing your torso to move forward or backward, slowly curl the barbell upward in a semicircular arc, from your upper thighs to a point directly under your chin. Squeeze your forearms and upper-arm muscles as tightly as possible for a moment, and then slowly lower the weight back along the same arc to the starting point. 10. Wrist Curl 1: Forearms on thighs, palms up. 11. Wrist Curl 2: Forearms on thighs, palms down. plus runnning for 30min and doing high steps. also i do this at home: DAILY TRAINING AT HOME 6:00AM Sit ups = 4 sets of 20 Leg Raises = 4 sets of 20 Side Bends = 4 sets of 15-20 Abs: After work Tuesday, Thursday. Waist Twists 4 of 70 with barbell Sit-up Twists 4 of 20 Leg Raises 4 of 20 Leaning Twist 4 of 50 with barbell Frog kick 4 sets Inf. Roman Chair 2 sets Inf. Leg Raises 2 sets Inf. Side Bends 2-4 sets 15-20 with dumbbell Shadow Boxing: 1 lb 100 punches 2 lb 100 punches 3 lb 100 punches 5 lb 100 punches 8 lb 100 punches 10 lb 100 punches THEN BACK DOWN Last edited by bladehines : 06-27-2007 at 06:18 PM. |

been busting my ass as well... i have salad 2 meals a day... and a balanced meal for dinner.
i hit the gym up everyday for atleast 2 hours usually around 3. Overcoming a hemmeraged groin muscle and trying to stay under the radar of my previously torn rotator cuft. Last edited by WhiteNoma : 06-27-2007 at 08:01 PM. |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
i started working out like 7 months ago as more of a weight loss deal. i started at 220, now im sitting at 193. also it seems no matter what i do or eat i maintain my weight. i havent really gotten much stronger because i cant do much high weight by myself. the summer is here so i do alot of sports and stuff so working out has taken a back seat.

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
not bad
my meals are simple morning, any delicious 1 bowl of cereal i want lunch i have 3 canned fish and draining out all the oil and just having over 40% of protein per canned fish mid afternoon, couple hrs b4 workout, i have couple bagels dinner, nothing really, probably slice of pizza or 2 or whatever fruits in fridge rest of day i drank ALOT of water, probably average over gal of water every 3 hr and almost gal of water at gym per hour and during the day whenever if i feel need to eat, i drink my mixed fruit drink which contains(peach, pear, pineapple, orange, apple, banana, honey, strawberry) but i mixed them seperately in normal size powerade and have probably 3 per day of that im currently at 6'2 and 193lb, my goal is to lose my beer belly and some muscle and cut back drinking ![]() fruits are like natural energy man, waaaaaaay much better than energy drink with too much caffinee and perfect 6-8hr sleep and no nap, then when my work gets slow, i get up on jump rope, do laps around the shop with 5lb-10lb dumbbells "as hitting the punching bag: while running, and hitting the ground for pushup back and forth easy sleep and passout everytime and results are coming up good ![]() Last edited by What? : 06-27-2007 at 08:32 PM. |

Re: My Routine...
Here's my basic routine, and daily diet.
I'm basically bulking (since forever) and gaining as much LBM as possible. This has really worked for me, and a few people who compete help me set it up. I always start off my pre-workout supplements. Then I begin stretching, just some dynamic stretches to get the blood flowing, and to loosen up a little. Usually under 10 exercises, depends on how I feel. If I'm lazy I do more to get my heart rate up, and get the blood flowing. Then I do some warm up sets, one or two with maybe 50% weight, at the most. Then depending on the day, I move on to my actual lifting routine. Workout A = Push: -Squats -Lunges -Bench Press -Military Press -Close Grip Bench/Parallel Dip Bars -Tricep Extension Workout B = Pull: -Deadlifts -Leg Curls -Bent Over Barbell Rows -Pullups/Lat Pulldowns -Dumbbell Curls Splits/Reps/Sets: Mon: Workout A - 2 Sets of 8-12 Reps Wed: Workout B - 2 Sets of 8-12 Reps Fri: Workout A - 4 Sets of 4-6 Reps Mon: Workout B - 4 Sets of 4-6 Reps I started off with a weight I could do the minimum routine with, rep and set wise. Each block rotation, I would increase it by a rep. I could feel the difference, but then my muscle endurance was building. So when I hit the rep limit, and could move the weight easily, I would add like 2 1/2 to 5 lbs and start all over. Great routine. Immediately after I workout, I stretch more. This time static stretching, and I make sure every area and part of my body gets attention. This is the stretching you do and hold in place for said amount of time. I usually have about 12 to 15 stretches I do. Works wonders. |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
It took a little while to get use to, but if you're seriously about anything, you'll make yourself do it. My gym is in my house, so it's somewhat easier in that aspect. I don't have to deal with making a special trip out just to go to the gym.
My diet isn't set in stone, so it's structured so it can vary time wise if I can't get to a meal right away, but I very, very rarely miss one. With the help of my fiance, I make all of my meals before hand, and load up a big ass ice chest and take it to school with me. When at work (I work as an EMT, gone a day or two at a time), I do the same thing. I also do a lot of other little things like weighted calf raises, some forearm exercises, and stuff like that. So that's just a general workout routine. I add little things here and there, but I don't do much cardio, and I sleep as much as I can. If anyone needs any help with anything, let me know, I would be glad to help whomever achieve their goals. I know when I started out it would of been amazing to have someone who knew what was going on to help me out. Took me a lot of time to do the research, but I eventually made some friends with really helpful people. |

Also, you really really really need some protein when you wake up and before your workout. You mentioned adding a shake, but you need more. Eat a good whole foods breakfast. You'll notice a huge difference in strength, energy, etc. Last edited by Mulisha Troop : 06-27-2007 at 09:08 PM. |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
My routine and diet is pretty intense, but my diet isn't so bad because I have like 200+ pages of bodybuilding food recipes and all kinds of shit. So I try to change it up so it doesn't get stale. Caloric intent, and nutrients stay the same though. Every couple months I throw it all out the window though, I don't lift, have a few cheat days in a row, and drink some beers. It's a great time, but I usually end up regreting it because it's even harder to fall back into routine. Like I said, if you have a goal, and need help reaching it, I'm willing to offer any advice you need. |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
anyone feel free to post what ever pics! i will post more in about 2 months or so. i start all my routines on monday with the abs, and puches and everything. this week and the past 2 weeks i have stayed on the same diet not straying a bit and i have only done the Gym workouts. so tuesday i start the abs, punches etc.....
and once you hit the gym for a month and see good results, muscle tone, weight loss, that is enough to keep you motivated for the next time you go!!! |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
no pics but yea, my diet could use more food, but I am also not bulking at all. In my routen I also work 8+ hours a day and still go to school. lugging compact, easy to manage 3/4 tupperwar bowls is easy. (not on the bike though) adding more stuff to carry (is do able ) but not with my schedule right now.
I havent taken pics in proll. 2 years. lol I left to go to school at LA taech 2.5 years ago at 167lb 8% could not afford gym and 60/70$ week in food, but was running constantly 8 months later I come home at 152 money again, back to eating like a monster for a year. no lifting though and it took its toll. back at my old ways (aside from running) in the gym. Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
i'm still lifting... like kyle said, though... summer is here, and i do alot more outdoor activities...
i gave up tryin to bulk for now..that shit's too hard, especially when i climb a mountain every other week, and ride my bike 20-25 miles at a time..or run on the beach 3 or 4 miles... strenght is still staying, and muscles is still building and defining, though.. i dont have a strict routine. i go to the gym 4 times a week, usually, and cardio 3 or 4 times a week. i'm never in the gym for more than an hour, and usually right around 45 minutes..i eat pretty much whatever i want, but it's usually healthy... remember: fishing is a workout (when you're catchin fish in the Kenai River or catchin Halibut out in the Cook Inlet it is ) |

Re: I'M STILL LIFTING!!!! Anyone else? (Pics Included)
damn man, you're pretty stout! I started working out about three months ago @ LA fitness. I can't say I see a definate gain yet, but im feeling it. I know it's working, so that's all that matters. I'm 5-9'' and wheigh about 140lbs. I didnt start when you guys did or anything, I just got tired of feeling and being a weakling. lol So maybe I should take some before and after (say 6 months later?) just so i can say hey, I got this far. I'm not on a real strengit diet of any sorts. I try to eat healthy as possible. However working construction and on the go, choices are sometimes limited. But before I work out i eat some protein bars and drink protein shakes. Take vitamins daily and so forth. I work out about two hours a day, 2 - 4 days a week always fallowed by a half hour or so of swimming. Trying to gain a six pack in the process. I never imagined how hard it is to get. Any pointers or advice im all ears. Lookin good guys, keep it up!
