i feel terrible... i just took a life...
i was walking out to my truck to go pick my brothers up from school. my cat was following me outside, tiger is an indoor and outdoor cat so i let him outside frequently. tiger has gotten to a lot of the local wildlife, here is a picture i have of tiger with a bird in his mouth from this summer:

i park my s10 outside my house along side the curb. i was sitting in the low truck letting her warm up, when i noticed that when i let my cat out of the house, it crossed the street and went right for my neighbor's driveway. that was odd.
so i go to leave, and i reverse out of the parking spot about 10 feet so i can pull out. then i see tiger sprinting out of the neighbor's driveway, chasing down a squirrel that looks terrified. tiger was literally like an inch behind it, the squirrel was about to be toast. tiger is a really playful cat, but he doesnt realize he is playing with live animals some times.
so i get out of the truck, and my cat is right behind the tail gate, looking for the squirrel which appears to have escaped him. just to be safe for the squirrel, i scoop tiger up in my arms and bring him in the house again so the squirrel and run away and not be afraid.
i pull out to leave, and i feel a thump on the right rear of the truck. i look up in my rearview mirror, and i see the squirrel all sprawled out, squished like a pancake. the life i had just gone out of my way to save, i just killed. i feel terrible.

Have you had a good freeze yet? If so eat that bastard, squirrel gravy and biscuits is money!!!

1 squirrel, clean & cook
4 c. cold water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Soak squirrel overnight in salt water. Put squirrel in large kettle, cover well with cold water. Add salt and pepper. Cook until tender. (Save about 2 cups of the water (broth) squirrel was cooked in to make the gravy.)

GRAVY:
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. squirrel broth
2 tbsp. grease
3 c. sweet milk

my girlfriend says i should go get it out of the road and bury it. but i dont think i could face it's carcass. it wasnt like totally squished, it was only run over by the rear tire so not too much weight. it just looks like a normal squirrel that dont move.

I rember some roadkill near our bus stop for school and nobody came around and "disposed" of it. I swear that black spot is still there.
